What is included in the Croc 2 remaster?
Argonaut describes the remaster as having enhanced visuals and quality-of-life improvements. The company has not detailed every change in the official announcement.
Gameplay and story details reported so far
Creative Bloq’s July 31, 2026 coverage reports that the game includes more than 40 levels, triple jumping, vehicles, aerial gameplay, and an in-game Croc2pedia with development material and interviews. The report also describes a story in which Croc travels to the mainland to find his parents, with Baron Dante returning and Gobbos to rescue across four villages. These details come from secondary coverage rather than the official announcement, so they should be treated as reported features, not a complete official specification.

Is Croc 2 getting a physical release?
No physical edition of Croc 2 has been confirmed in Argonaut’s announcement. The studio’s physical editions and retailer links for Croc: Legend of the Gobbos concern the first game, not its sequel.
How is Croc 2 different from the first Croc remaster?
Croc 2 is a remaster of the sequel. Argonaut’s first-game page describes Croc: Legend of the Gobbos as having enhanced HD graphics, updated controls and camera, retro video modes, and the Crocipedia digital museum; it lists 45 levels across five worlds. Those first-game details should not be assumed to apply to Croc 2.

The first game also has a Platinum Edition update. Argonaut’s FAQ lists Time Attack, more than 25 Crocipedia additions, alternate main-theme mixes, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements for that edition. The FAQ says most platform versions update automatically for existing owners; PlayStation owners need to download the Platinum Edition version from the PlayStation Store. This is information about the first game, not a confirmed Croc 2 update or package.

Creative Bloq attributes this comment to Mike Arkin, co-CEO of Argonaut Games: “Croc 2 was originally built on a totally different engine to Croc, posing its own set of remastering challenges, but the early work we did to validate our approach paid off.” The quote is reported by the outlet; Argonaut’s press announcement does not reproduce it.
