What is Deep Docks?
Deep Docks is an industrial forge built above and within a lake of lava. The area reference attributes the phrase “a groaning structure atop (and within) a lake of lava” to a 2019 Team Cherry blog post; the original post was not independently verified here, so the wording is best treated as a second-hand quotation. Searches for “deep docks” can also refer to fishing docks or an unrelated indie game. This guide is about the Silksong location.
What should you look for first?
Swift Step
Swift Step is found in the northernmost room of Deep Docks and gives Hornet her first dash ability. It is the key early ability associated with the area. Deep Docks area reference

Lace is encountered in Deep Docks. The available area reference confirms her presence but does not establish detailed attack patterns or a specific recommended strategy, so this overview does not prescribe a boss tactic. Deep Docks area reference
How does the Diving Bell fit into progression?
The Diving Bell provides a later-game route into the Abyss below the magma layer. Access to the Diving Bell area follows the defeat of Forebrothers Signis & Gron, while the Diving Bell Key is part of the later “SEEK: The Dark Below” progression.
