Some Tomb Raider games have PS5 releases, but there is no single upgrade for the whole series. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered are sold as PS4/PS5 products, and Tomb Raider: Anniversary is available on PS4 and PS5 as an emulated PS2 game. If you mean Tomb Raider (2013), the official sources reviewed here do not identify a specific PS5 upgrade patch for it.
Which Tomb Raider games can you play on PS5?
PlayStation Store listings and official Tomb Raider announcements identify several specific releases for PS5. They are separate collections or a port of an older game—not a franchise-wide patch that upgrades every Tomb Raider you already own.
| Game | What the official listing or announcement says | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Tomb Raider I-III Remastered | Listed for PS4 and PS5. The collection offers restored graphics and an option to switch to the original polygon look. PlayStation Store | A remastered collection, not an upgrade patch for another Tomb Raider game. |
| Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered | Listed as a PS4/PS5 product; the PlayStation Store says one purchase entitles the buyer to both digital versions. PlayStation Store | A separate remastered collection with PS4 and PS5 versions. |
| Tomb Raider: Anniversary | The official Tomb Raider site announced it as playable on PS4 and PS5 through emulation of the classic PS2 game. Tomb Raider announcement, November 18, 2025 | An emulated PS2 release, not a newly remastered PS5 edition. |
| Tomb Raider (2013) | The official franchise catalog lists the Game of the Year Edition, but the official material reviewed here does not identify a PS5 edition or a PS5 upgrade patch. Tomb Raider games catalog | Do not assume the remastered collections or Anniversary announcement apply to this game. |
Does Tomb Raider (2013) have a PS5 upgrade?
The official sources reviewed for this article do not establish a specific PS5 upgrade patch for Tomb Raider (2013). That is narrower than saying the game cannot be played on PS5 by any route: platform compatibility can depend on the current PlayStation Store catalog and the version you own. Check your regional Store listing for the exact edition before buying or expecting a particular upgrade entitlement.
What kind of PS5 release is each one?
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered: revised presentation of the original trilogy
This is the most direct option if you want the first three classic adventures in a collection designed for modern platforms. PlayStation describes restored graphics and a switch to the original polygon look, so the choice is between the remastered presentation and the classic visual style. It is not a patch that changes another Tomb Raider title you own. Aspyr says physical Standard and Deluxe editions were released; the official Tomb Raider announcement also identifies physical console editions. Availability and editions can vary by retailer and region. Aspyr · Tomb Raider announcement

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered: another separate remastered collection
This collection covers the next three classic games. Its PlayStation Store listing identifies both PS4 and PS5 digital versions as part of the purchase. That entitlement applies to this collection; it does not establish a general cross-generation upgrade policy for the series.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary: PS2 emulation
The official announcement calls the PS4/PS5 release “an emulation of the classic PS2 action-adventure title.” That describes a different route from a remaster: the game is presented as an emulated PS2 title, rather than as a rebuilt PS5 edition. At announcement, the official site gave a suggested retail price of $19.99 / €19.99; that was the stated SRP in November 2025, not a guarantee of today’s price or a price for every region.

Are new Tomb Raider games coming to PS5?
Two announced games are new PS5 projects, not upgrades to older releases. In a December 11, 2025 PlayStation Blog announcement, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was described as “a true reimagining of Lara Croft’s 1996 debut game.” The announcement gave it a 2026 release window and Tomb Raider: Catalyst a 2027 window. These were announced windows, not guaranteed current release dates. PlayStation Blog announcement
