- Windows PC: Download through the EA app, Steam, or Epic Games. EA says the EA app replaced Origin as its main PC and Mac download and launch platform.
- Mac: Use the EA app for Mac. EA says macOS Catalina or later is required to run the app; check EA’s current Mac and PC requirements before installing, because supported operating systems and hardware can change.
- PlayStation: Follow the PlayStation Store link for PS5 or PS4.

Install and launch the base game

What is free—and what costs extra
The $0.00 listing applies to The Sims 4 Base Game, not every item in the game. Expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, kits, and Marketplace content are optional additions that can be purchased separately.
