It was a separate mobile game—not a mobile version with identical content or mechanics to the console and PC EA SPORTS FC 24, which launched September 29.
How to get EA SPORTS FC Mobile
At launch, EA said the game was available to download on iOS and Android. The official release described it as an app, not a physical product. Availability and device requirements can vary, and the launch announcement does not establish a current 2026 compatibility or regional availability list.

EA presented the release as the next chapter in its mobile football game. Existing FIFA Mobile players received FC Mobile as an update, and EA said account names would carry over. That announcement did not confirm that every squad item, currency, or progression element would transfer.
What the 2023 launch included
EA’s launch announcement highlighted a mix of presentation, gameplay, and licensed football content:

- Updated visuals and audio: EA called out refreshed audiovisual presentation in the launch description.
- Gameplay changes: The release introduced gameplay adjustments, though the launch materials do not provide a complete list of mechanics or changes.
- True Player Personality: EA named this as a launch feature, describing a focus on players’ distinctive characteristics.
- UEFA Champions League tournament mode: The launch featured a tournament mode with authentic teams.
- Licensed football scale: EA reported more than 15,000 licensed players, over 650 teams, and more than 30 leagues at launch.
These are EA’s launch-era descriptions and counts, rather than independent measurements of the game’s quality or a guarantee of what remains available in later seasons. See EA’s September 26, 2023 launch release and its official launch video.
How the game changed by the 24/25 season
EA’s September 24, 2024 update marked the start of the 24/25 season and reported a larger licensed roster: 18,000+ players and 690+ teams, alongside over 30 leagues. These are publisher-reported snapshots from different dates, not a like-for-like test of gameplay or a current 2026 roster count.
The same update named several additions and changes:
- Football Centre
- Club Challenge
- An updated daily-login reward system
- Roster updates
EA VP and GM Lawrence Koh described the update as a way to “grow and evolve the immersive mobile football experience”; that is EA’s promotional characterization. The announcement does not establish the game’s complete feature inventory today. Details are in EA’s 24/25 season update.
Launch and 24/25 season figures at a glance
| Snapshot | Reported licensed players | Reported teams | Named features or modes |
|---|---|---|---|
| September 2023 launch | 15,000+ | 650+ | True Player Personality; UEFA Champions League tournament mode |
| September 2024, 24/25 season update | 18,000+ | 690+ | Football Centre; Club Challenge; updated daily-login rewards; roster updates |
EA reported both sets of counts; they describe the respective dates and should not be read as current totals. The 2024 announcement also reported over 30 leagues, as did the 2023 launch materials.
Is FC Mobile 24 the same as EA SPORTS FC 24?
No. FC Mobile was EA’s continuing mobile football game, distributed as an iOS and Android app. EA SPORTS FC 24 was the separate console and PC release, launched three days later. The shared EA SPORTS FC branding does not mean the two versions have identical content or mechanics.
