The Hero of Justice Pack is already out: it launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on January 21, 2025, then arrived on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on February 20, 2026. The DLC adds 11 playable character variants from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, plus one Piccolo costume and three custom battle scenarios. It requires the base game, and some editions and passes already include it.
When did the Hero of Justice DLC come out?
Bandai Namco announced the pack’s release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on January 21, 2025. The Dragon Ball official site published its launch notice on January 24, 2025. Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 received the pack later, on February 20, 2026. These are historical release dates; the pack is not a new release this month. Bandai Namco’s January 2025 announcement and its February 2026 Nintendo announcement cover the respective launches.
Which characters are in the Hero of Justice Pack?
The pack contains 11 playable forms or variants based on the film. That count does not mean 11 entirely separate character identities: several entries are different forms of Gohan or Piccolo.
- Gohan (Super Hero)
- Gohan (Super Hero) Super Saiyan
- Ultimate Gohan (Super Hero)
- Gohan Beast
- Piccolo (Super Hero)
- Piccolo (Super Hero) Power Awakening
- Orange Piccolo
- Orange Piccolo Giant Form
- Gamma 1
- Gamma 2
- Cell Max
Nintendo labels Piccolo’s Power Awakening form “Potential Unleashed” in its store listing. The official announcements describe the pack as adding 11 characters or fighters. Bandai Namco’s character and content announcement and the Dragon Ball official site launch notice confirm the roster count.

Does it include Beast Gohan?
Yes. Gohan Beast is one of the 11 playable variants in the pack.
What else is included besides fighters?
The add-on includes one Piccolo costume based on the outfit he wears while infiltrating the Red Ribbon Army base, along with three custom battle scenarios inspired by the film. Bandai Namco calls them custom battle stages; Nintendo describes them as bonus battles. They are custom battle content, not three newly added arenas. Bandai Namco’s release details list the costume and scenarios.

Do you need the base game, and is the pack included in a pass?
The Hero of Justice Pack is an add-on and requires DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO; it is not a standalone game. Bandai Namco says owners of the Deluxe, Ultimate or Premium Edition, or the individual Season Pass covering DLC 1–3, automatically receive the content in the 2025 release context. Its 2026 Nintendo announcement names the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition and individual Season Pass. The Japanese product page also notes that the DLC is included in some bundles and that the full game is sold separately. Check the listing for your platform and the exact edition or pass you own before buying the add-on separately, to avoid paying twice. The 2025 announcement, the Nintendo rollout notice and Bandai Namco’s Japanese product page describe included editions and bundles.

For Nintendo Switch, Nintendo’s UK store lists the release date as February 20, 2026; availability and pricing can vary by region, so use the store for your account’s territory. For other platforms, check the relevant platform store and confirm the add-on matches your copy of the base game. Bandai Namco’s Japanese product page gives a suggested retail price of ¥1,800 before tax; that is Japan-specific and does not establish the current price in other regions.
