A free scan shows the junk files, broken settings and background clutter dragging Windows down - then fixes them in one click.Free scan · Windows 10 & 11The “Server Connection Lost” message in Escape from Tarkov is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Battlestate has acknowledged past outages and access problems, so first check its current official announcements; if no incident is reported, test your local connection with low-risk steps. There is no established universal fix for this error.
1. Check whether Battlestate has reported an incident
Before changing your PC or network settings, check Battlestate’s current official Escape from Tarkov channel. The channel has carried notices about access difficulties affecting Tarkov, Tarkov Arena, and the launcher, as well as a notice that data-center operations had been restored. Those are historical examples, not a live status check; a restoration notice does not confirm that services are healthy when you encounter the error.
If Battlestate reports an active access or service incident, wait for an update and try again later. A local setting change cannot resolve a server-side outage. The official channel has previously said, “There are currently outages in the data center serving #EscapefromTarkov, #TarkovArena and official websites. Due to this, there may be problems with access. We apologize for this inconvenience.” It has also announced, “Data center operations have been restored. All #EscapefromTarkov and #TarkovArena services are available. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.” The excerpts do not establish when those posts appeared, so neither describes today’s status.
2. Test your local connection
If no current Battlestate incident is announced, try these low-risk checks. They are general connectivity suggestions from Activision Support, not Tarkov-specific instructions or guaranteed fixes.

- 40 Gbps 2000 Mhz High Speed: The Cat 8 ethernet cable support max. 40 Gbps data transfer and 2000 MHz Brandwith, ideal for gaming and streaming, greatly improving upload and download speed, sound, image and resolution quality
- Excellent Anti-interference: The ethernet cable comes with 4 shielded foiled twisted pairs (F/FTP), pure copper core and gold-plated RJ45 connector, reducing interference, noise and crosstalk, making network speed faster and more stable
- Marvelous Durability: Internet cable wrapped with quality cotton braided cord, which makes the LAN cable stronger and more durable. The test proves that this internet cable can be bent at least 10000 times without broken, very suitable for long-term use
- PoE Supported: All lengths of ethernet cord can support the PoE power supply function except 65ft. You don't need additional power supply when installing a PoE camera, which is very convenient and safe
- Wide Compatibility: With the RJ45 Connector, network cable can be perfectly compatible with computers, laptops, modems, routers, PS5, X-Box and other networking devices. It can also be fully backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6e, Cat6, Cat5e, Cat5
- Restart your router. After it reconnects, try launching or entering a raid again.
- Try a wired connection if you are using Wi-Fi. Ethernet is an optional test to help determine whether wireless instability is involved, not a fix for a Battlestate service problem.
- Check connection quality. If other online services are also unstable, investigate your home connection before treating Tarkov as the only affected service.
- Pause bandwidth-heavy activity. Temporarily stop large downloads, streaming, or other network-intensive tasks on your connection, then retry.
If the error changes or stops when you test a wired connection or pause competing traffic, that points toward a possible local network issue; it does not prove the root cause. If nothing changes, avoid making several unrelated network changes at once, since that makes the result harder to interpret.
3. Be cautious with older Tarkov-specific walkthroughs
A third-party video published on December 15, 2020, for this error suggested checking server status, changing server region, verifying game files, testing the network, and inspecting system or network settings. These are dated ideas, not a current official Battlestate procedure. Check that a setting or launcher action still exists in your installed game version before trying it.

- Cat 8 Speed, Cat 5/5e Value Enjoy Cat 8 Ethernet cable performance at a Cat 5/5e-level value. With up to 40Gbps speed and 2000MHz bandwidth, this high speed internet cable delivers more bandwidth than standard Cat 5 and Cat 5e cables, helping support smooth gaming, streaming, video calls, large file transfers and everyday wired network use.
- 40Gbps Speed, Wide Compatibility This Cat 8 Ethernet cable supports up to 40Gbps data transfer and 2000MHz bandwidth for fast, reliable internet performance. Standard RJ45 connectors are backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat5e devices, including routers, modems, switches, gaming PCs, PS5, PS4, Xbox, smart TVs, laptops and printers.
- Stable U/FTP Shielding Each of the 4 twisted pairs is individually wrapped with aluminum foil to help reduce crosstalk, noise, and signal interference. Combined with RJ45 connectors on both ends, the U/FTP design helps maintain cleaner signal transmission for a stable and reliable wired network connection.
- Nylon Braided Durability The nylon braided jacket adds everyday durability while keeping the cable flexible and easy to route. Reinforced construction helps the cord handle bending, pulling and frequent plugging, making it a reliable choice for desks, gaming rooms, home offices and long-term network setups.
- 50ft Reach for More Setups The 50 ft length makes it easier to connect devices across rooms, along walls, under desks or around corners. Great for router-to-PC connections, modem-to-TV setups, gaming consoles, workstations, printers and other home network equipment that needs a longer Ethernet cable.
No current official Battlestate article in the available material specifies a step-by-step sequence for this exact message. Do not assume that a particular server-region change, DNS value, firewall exception, VPN, or command-line recipe is an established fix.
4. Contact official support if it persists
If the error continues after checking official notices and testing your connection, use Battlestate’s current official support route. Steam’s technical-issue listing for Escape from Tarkov identifies Battlestate Games as the support provider and displays [email protected]. Confirm the current instructions through the official support route before sending information.

Players have described seeing connection errors during raid loading and reconnection, among other situations. Those individual reports show that the circumstances vary, but they do not establish a shared cause or prove that a community workaround is safe or effective. Use the point at which your error occurs as context for troubleshooting or a support request, not as proof of a particular diagnosis.
