The Back to the Future clue dates to Fortnite’s Chapter 7 kickoff in November 2025—not a new announcement. A DeLorean was spotted at Epic’s Hollywood event, while a separate report said Marty McFly was seemingly coming to the game based on leaks. Neither report established that Epic had confirmed the crossover or explained how the car might appear in Fortnite.
What happened at Fortnite’s Chapter 7 kickoff?
At a Chapter 7 media and influencer event held by Epic Games at Hollywood’s Vista Theater, a DeLorean from Back to the Future was displayed inside the theater, according to GameSpot’s November 20, 2025 report. That is the concrete event clue: a physical display at the kickoff, not proof that the vehicle had been added to the game.
Was Marty McFly confirmed for Fortnite?
No—not by the cited contemporaneous report. In a separate article on November 20, 2025, GameSpot described Marty McFly and the DeLorean as seemingly coming to Fortnite based on leak reporting. The article did not present the claim as an official Epic announcement, and it said the leak did not specify whether or how the DeLorean would be used in-game. Read GameSpot’s report on the leak.
What has Epic announced since?
Epic’s August 20, 2026 announcement identifies Chapter 7 Season 4 as Override and promotes collaborations including Sonic the Hedgehog and Tetris. It does not announce Back to the Future. Epic’s Override announcement is the official source for that season’s lineup.

So, is Back to the Future coming to Fortnite?
The available evidence supports a narrower answer: a DeLorean appeared at the November 2025 kickoff event, and contemporaneous coverage relayed a leak suggesting Marty McFly might come to Fortnite. That is not the same as an official confirmation of a skin, vehicle, event, or release date. The reports cited here do not establish any of those details.
