This is an editorial ranking of the Battle Royale pool—not an official Epic Games list—and it blends Builds and Zero Build rather than claiming a universal winner for every mode or player.
The ranking weighs damage potential, range, handling, reload and magazine limits, and utility. It covers firearms and Mythic utility weapons. Weapon rarity, mods, balance updates, and how you play can change the order; the season ended May 24, 2024, at 2 AM ET, according to Epic Games’ launch announcement.
How this ranking works
Myths & Mortals added Greek-god-themed content and Mythic weapons, while also bringing back several Season 1 guns. The list below ranks weapons for a blended Battle Royale perspective: flexibility and dependable impact matter, but a weapon’s value still depends on range, accuracy, and whether you can secure a Mythic.
The evidence is historical and editorial. GameLeap’s weapon tier list was published March 17, 2024, and Pro Game Guides’ Mythic list was updated March 24, 2024. They disagree on some relative placements, so their tiers inform—but do not dictate—this ranking. Neither is an official Epic ordering, and the reviewed guides do not establish a best list for each mode or document every balance change.

Ares’ Warforged Assault Rifle
A top pick for sustained medium-range pressure, with enough damage to reward accurate tracking. GameLeap reported 223.2 DPS and a 35-round magazine for the Mythic version; those are that guide’s figures, not a universal guarantee across updates or conditions. The tradeoff is recoil and handling: missed shots quickly undermine its damage potential. Pro Game Guides also placed the Mythic in S tier.

Chains of Hades
This Mythic earns its place through utility as well as close-range threat. Pro Game Guides put it in S tier and highlighted that its attacks can pull opponents and items, making it useful for disrupting an enemy or changing the position of nearby loot. It is less of a conventional ranged weapon, so its value depends on getting into situations where its reach and pulling effect matter.

Hades’ Harbinger SMG
A strong close-range choice when you can keep the target in your sights. GameLeap ranked it S tier and reported 218.5 DPS with a 30-round magazine for the Mythic version; Pro Game Guides rated it A tier. That difference is a useful reminder that tier lists reflect editorial judgment, not a settled cross-mode consensus.

The Mythic Gatekeeper can deliver a high close-range payoff, but precision matters: its small magazine makes missed shots costly. Gatekeeper Shotgun
The standard Gatekeeper remains a formidable option even without its Mythic version. GameLeap ranked it A tier, citing fast follow-up shots and a shell-reload design that loads shells simultaneously. It suits players who want to capitalize on short-range openings, but its limited shots still make aim and timing important.

Reaper Sniper Rifle
For players who prefer to engage from a distance, the returning Reaper Sniper Rifle is the season’s sniper option in GameLeap’s guide. That guide lists damage from 105 to 121 by rarity. The rifle rewards careful shot selection rather than forgiving follow-up fire; its usefulness falls when fights are too close or targets move unpredictably.

Epic confirmed the Thunder Burst SMG returned from Season 1. GameLeap notes it can work at medium range with a suitable scope mod, giving it more flexibility than a purely close-range spray weapon. Its place here reflects that adaptability, though mod choice and your ability to control bursts affect how reliable it feels.

Zeus’ Huntress DMR
The Huntress DMR gives the Mythic pool a ranged precision option. Pro Game Guides rated it B tier and emphasized its range; GameLeap reported 109.5 DPS and a seven-round magazine for the Mythic. The low magazine capacity leaves little room for missed shots, so it favors deliberate aim over sustained fire.

Ranger Pistol
Epic listed the Ranger Pistol among the weapons returning from Season 1. GameLeap describes rapid fire and mod potential, which can make it a flexible backup when its handling suits your aim. It ranks below the leading rifles, SMGs, and shotguns because its strengths are less specialized and its effectiveness depends on the setup.

Frenzy Auto Shotgun
The returning Frenzy Auto Shotgun is a forgiving close-range alternative, according to GameLeap, though that guide ranks it below the leading choices. Its automatic fire can help in hectic fights, but a more forgiving firing pattern does not automatically make it the strongest shotgun; the Gatekeeper has the higher ceiling for players who land precise shots.
What changed the value of weapons that season?
Mythic access came with acquisition risk
Mythics were tied to the season’s loot and boss systems, so their strength came with the practical question of whether you could acquire one safely. The season-specific guides discuss Chains of Hades, Hades’ Harbinger SMG, Cerberus’ Gatekeeper Shotgun, Ares’ Warforged AR, Zeus’ Huntress DMR, and Thunderbolt of Zeus. A powerful Mythic is not automatically the right choice if pursuing it costs more than your squad can afford.
Rarity and mods affected comparisons
Epic’s announcement describes Thermal Scope and Speedgrip mods and says mod benches were in Weapons Bunkers. Epic explains: “With the Speedgrip mod, your movement speed while aiming will increase.” Mods can alter how a weapon handles, while GameLeap cautions that rarity and the right mods can improve lower-ranked weapons. As a result, the list is best read as a ranking of weapon potential, not a claim that every drop performs identically.
