The Fortnite Chapter 7 Battle Pass leak was about the Chapter 7 Season 4: Override pass. Epic officially confirmed the pass on August 20, 2026, so its lineup is no longer just a rumor. Sonic the Hedgehog headlines it, and Epic’s current page lists outfits including K1tty W1ns, Phantom, Grace Crowne, Geno, Mali, Wrixel and Bastian.

What was leaked about the Chapter 7 Battle Pass?

Before Override launched, streamers received teaser packages that appeared to show Battle Pass content. VICE reported on August 15, 2026, that an image posted by Littlest Snail Gaming revealed some of the lineup; the report treated certain details, including a Tetris-inspired outfit, as uncertain. VICE later updated its story after Epic’s trailer revealed the skins. The leak is useful context for how the pass came to attention, but Epic’s own announcement and live pass page are the stronger sources for what is included.

On August 20, Epic officially announced the season and said, “Sonic the Hedgehog headlines the Battle Pass, joined by the Tails Sidekick.” VICE’s August 15 report documents the prelaunch leak; Epic’s season announcement confirms the headline collaboration.

How much does the Override Battle Pass cost, and how do you unlock rewards?

Epic currently lists the pass at 800 V-Bucks and also says Fortnite Crew provides a way to access it. Rewards are unlocked by earning XP in any Fortnite experience. Epic’s support page says the bundle includes 25 Battle Pass rewards, with level and prerequisite requirements; some special styles require quests that unlock after other rewards have been claimed.

If you need a funding option, a Fortnite gift card can add balance to an Epic account for purchases such as V-Bucks. Gift cards are available physically and online in supported regions, and the card currency must match the account currency. They fund the account; they are not a physical copy of the Battle Pass. Epic says older V-Bucks cards may remain available at some retailers and in some regions during the transition to Fortnite gift cards. See Epic’s gift-card redemption guidance before buying or redeeming a card.

When does the Battle Pass end, and can you get its items later?

Epic’s current pass page says Override ends November 1, 2026, Eastern Time. Passes for seasons that have ended cannot be purchased. Epic says some Battle Pass items may be offered in the Fortnite Shop at least 18 months after a pass expires, but it does not guarantee that any particular item will return. Check Epic Support’s explanation of post-season Battle Pass items for the rule.
