Fortnite Champions Road was Epic Games’ community competition and quest program leading up to the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship. Epic scheduled tournaments from August 12 through September 7, 2025, and quests from August 26 through September 23, 2025. Both windows have passed; this is a guide to what the event offered, not a current schedule.
What was Fortnite Champions Road 2025?
Epic announced Champions Road on August 6, 2025, as a way for the wider Fortnite community to compete ahead of the Global Championship. The program combined Battle Royale and Reload tournaments with quests across Blitz Royale, OG, Reload, classic Battle Royale and Ballistic. The quests rewarded XP for familiar actions such as eliminating opponents, surviving Storm circles and earning a Victory Royale.
Epic described the invitation this way: “To celebrate, we’re inviting the entire Fortnite community to prove they’ve got what it takes to become one of the greats in Champions Road.” The statement was attributed to Epic Games’ Fortnite Competitive team, not an individual spokesperson. When did Champions Road start and end?
Epic’s announced tournament window ran August 12–September 7, 2025. The quest track ran August 26–September 23, 2025. The event’s original announcement said players could find events in Fortnite’s in-game Compete tab and calendar, which also provided regional timing; Epic cautioned that dates and times could change. Those dates are historical, not upcoming events.

What tournaments were part of Champions Road?
The schedule included Battle Royale and Reload competitions, along with recurring Ranked Cups and FNCS Divisional Practice Cups. The examples below are dates as announced by Epic in 2025; they do not indicate present availability.

Reload Quick Cups
Quick Cups used multiple rounds in a short period. In Round 1, each player’s best result across three matches counted. A match score was capped at 15 points, and eliminations were capped at five per match. Those scores placed players into one of three Round 2 groups, where the aim was to earn a high total across three matches. Some cups offered cosmetics to top-group players. Epic also planned a post-Global Championship third round for the 20 highest-placed teams in the top group, with three first-place cash prizes.

Duos Divisional Cups
Epic changed the format to Duos, increased the number of divisions to five in EU and NAC, and planned promotion twice per week instead of once per week.
Solo Series
The weekly Solo Series was open to players on all platforms and was to conclude with a Solo Series Final featuring cash prizes. A player’s best four results across six weeks determined qualification.

Featured cups with specific match windows
Epic described the Axe of Champions Cup as ten matches played within a three-hour window. The pickaxe was scheduled to arrive in Fortnite’s Shop on September 4, 2025, at 8 PM ET. The Champion Surf Witch Community Cup also used ten matches in a three-hour window. Its bundle contained the Champion Surf Witch Outfit, Battler’s Emblem Back Bling, Surf Slasher Pickaxe and Witch Champion Wrap. Players scoring at least eight points were to receive the Surf Witch Was Here Spray, while those scoring at least 40 points were to receive the Heartbreak Surf Witch Emoticon.

Epic noted that, beginning with v37.00, Loading Screens would no longer be supported when queuing into creator-made experiences.
Tournament rewards
Depending on the cup, rewards included cosmetics for top regional placements or point thresholds, as well as the planned cash prizes in the Solo Series Final and the post-championship Reload Quick Cup round. The named Blade of Champions, Axe of Champions and Surf Witch cups had the specific thresholds and rewards listed in the tournament table and match-window details above.
