Yes—the Springfield map was real. Fortnite’s 2025 Simpsons-themed season brought a Springfield-inspired island to Battle Royale, and Epic later published an official guide to its landmarks. Springfield also returned in Fortnite Reload on July 30, 2026, according to contemporary reporting. The original “leak” framing is now historical, not an unconfirmed rumor about a future season.
What happened to the Fortnite Springfield map?
Epic announced the Simpsons-themed Fortnite season on November 1, 2025. Its announcement described an 80-player Springfield island for Battle Royale, alongside Simpsons-themed season content and Delulu. Epic’s later map guide, published November 13, documented locations and Easter eggs using images captured with Fortnite’s in-game replay tool.
The leak label refers to how details circulated before Epic’s official announcement. The island and its featured locations were subsequently confirmed by Epic, so they should not be treated as unverified claims today.
Which Springfield locations were on the map?
Evergreen Terrace
The Simpson family home at 742 Evergreen Terrace sat among suburban houses with loot nearby. The area also included the family’s treehouse, which Epic said had appeared earlier as a teaser during Chapter 6 Season 4.

Springfield Town Square
The central square featured the Jebediah Springfield statue, King Toot’s Music Store, The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop, and the Aztec movie theatre. Epic’s guide also pointed to a hidden Easter egg involving the statue’s head.

Mr. Burns’s estate offered extensive halls, statues, a hedge maze, and hounds.

Springfield Gorge included a ramp for attempting a vehicle jump across the gap. Kamp Krusty was another stop named in Epic’s guide.

What came with the 2025 Simpsons season?
Epic’s launch announcement described a flat-shaded Springfield Battle Pass featuring premium outfits for Homer, Marge, Flanders, Blinky Fishstick, and Springfield Peely. It also said original Simpsons animated shorts appeared in Fortnite during the season and were available on Disney+. Those shorts were an adjacent viewing option, not a requirement for playing Fortnite; availability may vary by territory.
Did Springfield return in Fortnite Reload?
Yes. In a July 23, 2026 report, VICE said Epic had announced a July 30 release date and teased Springfield’s return in Fortnite Reload. That is a separate return from the original Battle Royale season. The same report attributed proposed weapons and rewards to dataminers; those details were rumors in that coverage, not confirmed features, and should not be presented as fact without an official confirmation.

Does the 2026 Simpsons announcement mean a new season?
No. Epic’s June 18, 2026 IP Partner Program announcement described a developer toolkit planned for later in 2026. It is intended to let Fortnite developers use Simpsons characters, locations, and assets to create Simpsons games. That developer-facing initiative is distinct from a player-facing Battle Royale season and does not, by itself, announce another Springfield map.
In that announcement, Epic also reported that the Fortnite | Simpsons season in fall 2025 recorded more than 80 million players and over 750 million hours. Those are figures reported by Epic, not independently audited measurements.
