Gargantuaskin treasure hunts take place exclusively in Living Memory. The map’s gathering spots are where you obtain a Timeworn Gargantuaskin Map—not fixed treasure-coffer coordinates. Use Decipher on the map to reveal that individual coffer’s location, then travel there and use Dig.
Where to get a Timeworn Gargantuaskin Map
Level 100 gatherers can find maps at the following Living Memory locations. Fishers can also obtain one at Mu Springs Eternal. These are map-acquisition sites, not places where every map’s coffer will appear.

The Eorzea Database lists the item as unavailable from NPC vendors and gives it a 21-gil vendor sale value. That is not a market-board price.
How to find the coffer for your map
- Use Decipher on the Timeworn Gargantuaskin Map in your inventory. The map reveals the location of its treasure.
- Travel to the revealed spot in Living Memory.
- Use Dig at the location to uncover the coffer, then open it.
There is no single universal coffer coordinate to follow: use the location revealed by your own map.

What Gargantuaskin maps unlock
Square Enix’s Patch 7.3 notes state: “Treasure hunts using Gargantuaskin Treasure Maps are exclusive to Living Memory. While rewards from the treasure chests unearthed using this map are the same as Br’aaxskin Treasure Maps, only Gargantuaskin Treasure Maps will grant entry to Vault Oneiron.” In other words, the distinctive benefit is access to Vault Oneiron; the Patch 7.3 notes describe the unearthed-chest rewards as the same as Br’aaxskin’s.
Vault Oneiron requirements and flow
- Participants must be level 100 Disciples of War or Magic.
- The instance is for eight players and has a 60-minute time limit.
- Inside, the party uses a hypnoslot machine. Its result may summon a trial, advance the party to a more grandiose vision, or expel players.
- The duty ends after five trials, expulsion, or when all party members are knocked out.
- The coffer after a trial is accessible only to the player who opened the teleportation portal.
Reward details and patch qualifications
Square Enix’s Patch 7.4 notes say rewards for Gargantuaskin maps and Vault Oneiron were adjusted, but the cited section does not itemize those changes. The Patch 7.3 comparison therefore should not be treated as a current, detailed loot table: these notes do not establish exact present-day drops, reward values, or gil returns.
