No current official notice confirming a Duels-specific fix or a “coming soon” timeline was found as of October 8, 2026. The current status is unverified; historical reports do not establish that Duels is affected now.
What the reports say—and what they do not
In a January 2022 thread on Blizzard’s Hearthstone forums, players described being unable to resume an old Duels match or start a new run after a patch. One player said the problem occurred on both Windows 10 and Android. These are individual historical reports, not confirmation of a current or widespread issue. Read the January 2022 thread.

A separate February 2022 Blizzard forum post described one account where choosing “Start or resume” did not open Duels. It likewise does not establish that the problem persists today. Read the February 2022 report.
As of October 8, 2026, no current official announcement confirming a fix for this specific Duels resume issue or giving a release timeline was found. That means a fix is not verified as “coming soon”; it does not establish whether an individual player is currently experiencing a similar problem.

What to try if Duels will not resume
The sources do not establish a confirmed current fix. One old player report may be worth knowing about, but treat it as an unverified workaround rather than a reliable recovery method.
Historical workaround: open Credits, then restart
In a November 2020 thread, one player said opening Settings > Options > Misc > Credits and restarting let them collect rewards and start a new run. This is a single player’s report from an older client; it may not apply to the current game, and it does not guarantee that an active run or its rewards can be recovered. Read the November 2020 thread.

That thread also contains a support response, quoted by the player, saying Customer Support could not manually fix that account and directing them to bug-reporting channels. It describes that historical case, not necessarily current support policy.

A Duels button that hangs is not, by itself, enough to diagnose an account, client, or connection fault. Record what happens and compare it with access to other modes before reporting the issue.

- Note the Hearthstone client version, device, and region.
- Write down the exact action you took, such as selecting “Resume Game” or “Start or resume,” and what happened next.
- Record whether other Hearthstone modes connect successfully.
- Include whether the problem began after an update and whether restarting changed anything.
A March 2026 Blizzard forum thread describes reconnect reports involving other Hearthstone modes. It is a separate incident and does not confirm a Duels-specific resume bug or its status. Read the March 2026 reconnect thread.
