Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.6 was officially announced as “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age,” with a planned release date of October 23, 2024. HoYoverse’s October 11 announcement confirmed Rappa as the new 5-star character, returning characters, a Penacony campus setting, and new Simulated Universe and music-party content. The announcement confirms the update’s details; it does not establish that each one originated in a leak.
What was Version 2.6?
HoYoverse titled the update “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age” and scheduled its release for October 23, 2024. Its preview centered on Paperfold University, a new Penacony setting tied to a new semester and anniversary festivities.
The title’s reference to a “Mappou Age” also framed the update’s larger Simulated Universe scenario, which revisits a conflict over Emperor Rubert II’s legacy.
Which characters were announced?
New character: Rappa
Rappa was the update’s new 5-star character. HoYoverse’s official update details classify her as an Erudition character with the Imaginary element. The announcement also placed her in the update’s Paperfold University and anniversary setting.

Returning limited 5-star characters
HoYoverse named Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine as returning limited 5-star characters across the two halves of the Warp event. The announcement cited here establishes the returning lineup but not a phase-by-phase assignment, so no banner order or dates are specified here.
What was the Unknowable Domain?
Unknowable Domain was Version 2.6’s third Simulated Universe DLC. Its scenario drew on the Scholars’ Strife and the struggle over Emperor Rubert II’s legacy and Scepter system.
Players were to collect Scepters, enhance them with Components, and combine them to build synergies before confronting a final foe. That setup made the expansion about assembling and improving combinations, rather than simply progressing through a standard sequence of encounters.

In “Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription,” Trailblazers took on the role of band manager for a Dreamlight Anniversary music party and teamed up with Rappa. The event connected the update’s anniversary festivities with its new character and Penacony setting.

The available official material confirms the contents HoYoverse announced, but it does not identify or verify an original leak post, its author, timing, or exact wording.
