The latest listed general presentation, held September 9, 2026, has already passed—and the official event page does not establish that Hollow Knight: Silksong appeared in it. Claims that fans are “in a frenzy” are headline framing, not a measured statistic.
Will Silksong be in the next Nintendo Direct?
There is no confirmed answer. Nintendo’s archive, checked October 8, 2026, lists no later general Direct after its September 9 presentation. Without an announced event or a Nintendo or Team Cherry confirmation, an appearance in a future Direct is speculation.
The September event page identifies the games Nintendo featured, but does not establish a Silksong appearance. The archive may be updated, so the event schedule should be checked again when Nintendo announces another presentation. Nintendo’s September 9, 2026 Direct page
Was Silksong shown in the September 2026 Direct?
The available official event listing does not verify that it was. Nintendo described the roughly 45-minute presentation as focused on Switch 2 games launching that winter. The featured titles included Monster Hunter Wilds, Pikmin 4, Metroid Ravenous, Kirby’s next 3D adventure, the conclusion of the Final Fantasy VII remake series, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition. That list is not evidence of a Silksong segment. Nintendo Direct, September 9, 2026

What does “fans are in a frenzy” mean?
It is the headline’s characterization, not a verified measure of audience reaction. No statistic measuring Silksong anticipation or speculation about a Nintendo Direct is established here, and no attributable statement from fans about a future Direct is available. The game’s popularity is documented separately: Team Cherry reported on December 15, 2025 that more than seven million people had purchased Silksong, with millions more playing through Xbox Game Pass. That is the developer’s own figure, not an independent audit or a measure of Direct speculation. Team Cherry’s December 15, 2025 update
What is confirmed about Silksong’s release and physical editions?
Nintendo’s regional store listing gives Hollow Knight: Silksong a September 4, 2025 release date. That regional page does not establish current physical stock. Nintendo store listing
