The Anklets increase Hornet’s grounded sprint speed but consume Silk while you run, so they are most useful when faster ground travel matters more than saving Silk for other abilities.
Where to find the Silkspeed Anklets in Hollow Knight: Silksong
Weavenest Cindril is in the far east of Far Fields. Look for its Needolin-locked entrance, then solve the pressure-plate passage inside to reach the tool. The Hollow Knight Wiki describes the location and acquisition, and Nintendo Life independently lists the Needolin entrance and dash-over-panels puzzle in its Silksong tools and locations guide.[Hollow Knight Wiki]; [Nintendo Life]
- Travel to the far east of Far Fields. Find the entrance to Weavenest Cindril.
- Use the Needolin at the door. This opens the way into the nest.
- Reach the pressure-plate tunnel and use Swift Step. Sprint continuously across the plates so the pillars activate as you pass them.
- Continue through the opened route to claim the Anklets.
The AllThings.How location walkthrough also recommends keeping the sprint going through the tunnel rather than stopping between plates.[AllThings.How]
What the Silkspeed Anklets do—and what they cost
The Hollow Knight Wiki reports that the Anklets increase grounded sprint speed by 34%. It also reports that about six seconds of grounded sprinting consumes one Silk. Sprint time can carry over a brief pause: if Hornet resumes sprinting within four seconds, the accumulated time still counts toward that Silk cost. These are community-wiki mechanics, not independently tested measurements.[Hollow Knight Wiki]

- Airborne: The Anklets provide no speed increase and do not drain Silk while Hornet is in the air.
- Resource choice: Sprint when the saved travel time is useful; ease off when preserving Silk for other abilities matters more.
This makes the Anklets a situational movement tool, not a free speed upgrade. Their benefit applies to grounded sprinting, so routes with frequent jumps or aerial movement may offer fewer chances to use it.
Using Flea Brew to open the Rune Harp trapdoor
Flea Brew stacks with the Anklets for a reported total movement-speed increase of 57%, according to the Hollow Knight Wiki. With both effects active, repeat the original pressure-plate run in Weavenest Cindril to open a trapdoor leading to the Rune Harp. The Anklets can make grounded traversal faster, but the available sources do not establish that they are required in any current speedrun category or show a measured time saving on a particular route. Treat them as an option to evaluate for a route, not a universal speedrun recommendation. A ScalaCube guide calls them valuable for speedrunners but gives no timing data or category reference to support a broader claim.[ScalaCube]

For the Courier’s Rasher delivery
For this specific time-limited, on-foot delivery, PC Gamer’s Sean Martin recommends using Flea Juice from The Lost Fleas quest with the Anklets. His guide, published September 9, 2025, also reports that opening the main-menu map pauses the timer. That is advice for the Courier’s Rasher quest, not evidence of a speedrun rule or a guaranteed time save on other routes.[PC Gamer]
