GamesRadar reports that ACMI supplied IGN with a sheet of Hornet animations, including one in which she appears without her cloak and holds the garment. Neither the image nor the reporting establishes why that animation exists.
What the sprite-sheet image shows
As described by GamesRadar’s report, the sheet contains multiple Hornet animations. One depicts her without her cloak, holding it in her hand. The outlet says ACMI supplied the sheet to IGN.
“In the buff” and “nude” are the report’s humorous framing of a stylized, non-explicit character sprite. The image is not evidence of explicit content, and it does not by itself show that players encounter this animation during ordinary gameplay.
Why is Hornet shown without her cloak?
There is no verified explanation for the sprite’s purpose in the reporting. No statement from a Team Cherry developer or ACMI representative explains whether it is a practical animation asset, a joke, or something else. Those are possibilities, not established facts.

GamesRadar relayed readers asking, “is this real????” and whether that was “just what she looks like????” It also reproduced the social-media reaction, “HORNET PUT YOUR CLOAK BACK ON THAT’S SO INDECENT WHAT THE HELL”. These are audience reactions as presented by the outlet, not official comments or explanations.
It is not the same as Silksong’s Cloakless Crest
Silksong also has a separate Cloakless Crest gameplay section. GamesRadar’s report on that feature and related challenge runs concerns gameplay, not the purpose of the sprite-sheet image. The shared cloakless wording does not establish a connection between them.
