First check whether Ubisoft suspended your entire account or only restricted one game. A temporary account lock cannot be manually removed by Support; Ubisoft says it will email you when it is lifted. If Ubisoft permanently locked your account and you believe the decision is wrong, appeal through Ubisoft Support with the sanctioned account’s username and a clear explanation.
Identify what Ubisoft restricted
“Suspended” can describe different restrictions. Ubisoft’s guidance distinguishes account-wide locks from game-specific bans, and the next step depends on the wording of your notice.

Ubisoft’s English-language US help pages use terms such as “temporary lock,” “permanently locked,” and “ban.” Read the notice carefully rather than assuming every restriction is an Ubisoft Connect account suspension.
If your account is temporarily locked
- Check your linked email. Look in the inbox and spam or junk folders for Ubisoft’s message. Ubisoft says it will email you when the sanction is lifted.
- Wait for the lock to lift. Ubisoft states that it cannot manually remove temporary account locks. Its guidance gives no fixed duration, so it is not possible to promise when access will return.
- After access returns, secure the account. Change the password and enable 2-Step verification. Keep your credentials private and review the security of both your Ubisoft account and its linked email.
Ubisoft says a temporary lock may follow detected fraudulent activity, including fraudulent purchase attempts. It also says too many failed login attempts may explain a lock. These are possible causes, not confirmation of why a particular account was restricted.

If your account is permanently locked
- Open Ubisoft’s official support route. Use Ubisoft Support to submit an appeal about the permanent lock.
- Identify the account and explain the appeal. Include the username of the sanctioned account and a concise, specific reason you believe the decision is wrong. Ubisoft warns that appeals missing requested information may be denied.
- Keep the contact relevant and professional. Ubisoft says repeated or abusive contacts do not help. It also says appeals sent after a final review may be ignored.
- Wait for the review without assuming an outcome. Ubisoft’s Terms of Use 5.0 say sanctions can be appealed and submitted to human review by contacting customer support. The cited guidance does not promise reinstatement or give a response deadline.
Buying a game or in-game currency is not an appeal remedy. Ubisoft warns that content bought from unauthorized resellers may be revoked.
If only one game is affected
Check the game named in the notice and use that game’s own support guidance; rules and remedies can differ. Rainbow Six Siege is one documented example: Ubisoft says a temporary Siege ban can leave access to other Ubisoft websites, games, and services intact while the ban is active. That example should not be assumed to describe every game.

If you cannot find Ubisoft’s email
- Check spam, junk, and promotional folders.
- Confirm that you can still access the email address linked to the Ubisoft account.
- If another platform account is already linked, Ubisoft says you may be able to sign in to Account Management with that platform account.
Why Ubisoft may lock an account
Ubisoft’s general guidance says sanctions may follow violations of its Terms of Use or Code of Conduct, or activity associated with illegal conduct, such as phishing, selling, sharing, or fraud involving accounts. Its temporary-lock guidance also mentions fraudulent purchase attempts and too many failed login attempts. These examples do not establish the reason for your own lock; Ubisoft’s cited public guidance does not provide a general disclosure of all evidence underlying a sanction.

Ubisoft’s International Terms of Use 5.0 say sanctions may be appealed and submitted to human review by contacting customer support. The available guidance does not set an appeal turnaround time or guarantee that a sanction will be reversed.
