To complete The Helm of Urtkot in Hogwarts Legacy, use Lumos to carry moths to the cave’s locked doors, use Depulso to open the damaged barrier and raise platforms, and use fire spells to make Inferi vulnerable. The helm is not inside the tomb: after leaving, find it in a chest at the Ashwinder camp, then return to Lodgok.
How to start The Helm of Urtkot
After completing Percival Rackham’s first Trial and learning Depulso, speak with Sirona at the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade. Find Lodgok at the Hog’s Head, then meet him near the witch’s tomb and follow him into the Collector’s Cave. A guide also lists The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament as an unlock point; progression descriptions differ, so check your in-game quest log if the quest is not available.

How to solve the moth doors
For every door, bring moths to the empty slots with Lumos active. Casting Lumos near a moth attracts it; carry it to the door, then extinguish the spell to release it into a slot. Look around each room for moth perches before assuming a moth is missing.
First door
Find the moth near the first locked door, attract it with Lumos, and carry it back to the door. Check side corridors for optional loot as you continue through the cave.

Second door: use Depulso on the damaged barrier
In the room with a tomb or sarcophagus, collect the moths from accessible perches. The remaining moth is behind a damaged barricade or door. Cast Depulso to open it, then use Lumos to bring that moth to the three-slot door.
Rising-platform room
- Place a moth on the central rotating mechanism.
- Stand on the nearby square platform and cast Depulso repeatedly to raise it.
- From the elevated position, use Lumos to attract the high moth and carry it to the door.
- Bring the other available moths to the remaining slots.
Final door and mechanism
After clearing the Inferi, move a moth to the central spinner and another to the low platform or perch. Stand on the rising platform and use Depulso on the mechanism to lift it, giving you access to the upper moths. Carry the moths to the door slots, using the raised platform to reach the final position. The room’s route can be hard to read at first; use the visible slots and perches as your guide, keep Lumos active while transporting each moth, and raise the platform when a moth is out of reach.

Optional tomb detours and the exit
Skeleton bridge
After the next door, an optional treasure area uses a bridge made from skeleton remains. Use Accio to pull the remains, then Wingardium Leviosa to place them on the marked platforms and form the bridge. Skip this area if you want to stay on the main route.
Drop through the floor grate
In the following room, hit the hanging load’s pulley or rope to drop it through the floor grate. Descend through the opening and check nearby side rooms for loot before moving on.

How to defeat the Inferi
Inferi need fire damage before other attacks become effective. Use Incendio or Confringo first, then follow with basic attacks or other damage. The tomb includes more than one encounter, so keep a fire spell ready as you move forward.

Where to find the Helm of Urtkot
- After the final tomb encounter, inspect the scene and body; the helmet is not there.
- Exit through the stone slabs behind the sarcophagus and speak with Lodgok outside.
- Follow the map marker to the Ashwinder camp. Defeat its enemies and the troll.
- Loot the chest inside the tent to recover the helm. More Ashwinders may appear after you take it.
- Defeat them, then return to Lodgok to finish the quest.
