To use Rocket League progress and eligible items on multiple platforms, link each platform account to the same Epic Games account. This does not merge two Rocket League accounts or combine different progress: decide which platform’s progress to keep before you link. Then launch Rocket League on every linked platform and reach the main menu to sync.
Link the platform accounts to one Epic Games account
- Decide which platform account has the Rocket League progress you want to keep. Epic says progress from separate platform accounts cannot be combined.
- Sign in to the Epic Games account you want to use with your platforms, then open Linked accounts.
- Choose Link beneath each platform you use, such as Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam. Follow the sign-in and on-screen prompts for that platform.
- After linking, start Rocket League on each linked platform and reach the main menu. Epic says items sync only after this step on every platform.
Epic allows one account of each platform type to be linked to an Epic Games account at a time. A platform account also cannot be linked to multiple Epic Games accounts. If the platform account is already connected elsewhere, use Epic’s account support workflow to resolve the existing connection rather than repeatedly trying different sign-ins. If you cannot access a console account or do not know its email, contact that console’s support team for account recovery.
Linking is not merging
Epic’s guidance is explicit: “You can’t merge Rocket League accounts across Epic Games accounts.” Linking works across different platform types; it does not combine account histories or transfer one platform account’s data into another. Items stay with their account of origin, but eligible items can be used on linked platforms while those accounts remain linked.
If your two accounts have different progress, choose which platform’s progress to retain before linking. Linking will not reconcile their levels, challenges, or history. You also cannot link two accounts of the same platform type to one Epic Games account at once.

What syncs across linked platforms?
Epic lists these as shareable across linked platforms:
- Earned free drops, season rewards, and titles
- Rocket Pass items
- Item Shop purchases
- Blueprints and items crafted from blueprints
- Rocket League-branded Legacy Pack DLC
- Esports Shop purchases and Fan Rewards
- RLCS attendee items
- Eligible premium DLC
Platform-exclusive items do not share. Epic also excludes the Batman/DC Superheroes content from the Ultimate Edition on-disc pack.

Credits depend on how you got them
Purchased Credits stay on the platform where they were bought. Credits earned from Rocket Pass are shared across linked platforms. Credits included in a purchased bundle are limited to the platform where the bundle was bought. Items you buy with Credits are shared across linked platforms, even when the Credits themselves are not.
If items or progress are missing
- Confirm that the intended platform accounts are linked to the same Epic Games account.
- Open Rocket League on each linked platform and reach the main menu to trigger syncing.
- Check whether the missing content is excluded from sharing, such as a platform-exclusive item or purchased Credits balance.
Think carefully before unlinking
Epic warns that unlinking a platform can reset shared profile data, progression, history, purchases, and earned content. After unlinking, you may not be able to connect a different account of the same platform type to that Epic Games account. Signing in through the disconnected platform may also automatically create a new Epic Games account without that game progress.

If you still need to unlink, sign in to the Epic Games account, open Linked accounts, and select Unlink beneath the relevant platform. Check that you are signed in to the correct Epic and platform accounts before confirming.
