To relink Ubisoft on a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, make sure the Nintendo Account is linked to the console profile, open a Ubisoft game, then sign in to the intended Ubisoft account through Ubisoft Connect if that option is available. Ubisoft says the accounts link when sign-in succeeds. If the Nintendo account was linked before, Ubisoft’s normal process only lets you reconnect that same Nintendo account—not switch it to a different Ubisoft account.
Relink your Nintendo Account through a Ubisoft game
- On the Switch or Switch 2, confirm that the Nintendo Account you want to use is linked to the console user profile.
- Launch a Ubisoft game.
- From the game’s main menu, open Ubisoft Connect if the option is available. Menus vary by game, so it may not appear in every title.
- Sign in to the Ubisoft account you want associated with the Nintendo Account. If you do not have a Ubisoft account, choose the in-game option to create one.
- If you previously unlinked this Nintendo Account, sign in using the same Nintendo platform account that was originally connected. Ubisoft says to contact Support if you need to connect a different platform account.
Ubisoft’s Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 instructions say the accounts link once you sign in. See Ubisoft’s Nintendo account-linking instructions.

Link from Ubisoft Account Information instead
If you can sign in to your Ubisoft account on the web, you can also start the connection from its account settings:
- Open Ubisoft Account Information and sign in.
- Choose Linked accounts.
- Select the Nintendo platform, choose Link, and follow the prompts.
Ubisoft’s general linking guidance says a previously linked platform account can only be relinked to the same Ubisoft account. If you need a different platform account connected, contact Ubisoft Support about linking accounts.

If you get a linking error
A linking error may mean the Nintendo platform account is already connected to another Ubisoft account. Check which Nintendo Account is active on the console and which Ubisoft account you are signing in to. If the Nintendo account was connected before, Ubisoft’s documented route is to relink that same platform account. Its guidance does not promise that unlinking will make the Nintendo account available to connect to a different Ubisoft account.
- You want to restore the old connection: Sign in to the Ubisoft account that was originally linked and use the same Nintendo Account.
- You want to use a different Nintendo platform account: Contact Ubisoft Support rather than repeatedly unlinking and relinking.
- You cannot access the Ubisoft account’s email: Ubisoft says you may be able to sign in to Account Management using another platform account already linked to that Ubisoft account. This is a possible sign-in fallback, not a guarantee of account recovery or successful Nintendo relinking. Read Ubisoft’s guidance for account access when you cannot reach your email.
Understand the consequences before unlinking
Unlinking is not a harmless reset. Ubisoft warns it can permanently affect games and subscriptions that use crossplay or cross-progression. After unlinking, you will be unable to access content purchased from the platform store; Ubisoft says to regain access to content on the Ubisoft account, relink the same platform account.
