Launch the supported game through the Epic Games Launcher. Epic’s game-specific guidance identifies launching the game as the final step for backing up a newly created save.
Use a synced save on another device
Sign in to the same Epic account on the other device, make sure Cloud Saves are enabled, and start the supported game through the launcher. Give syncing time to complete before playing offline or closing the game. If you play offline on one device, it may have a different save from the one stored in the cloud.

Resolve a Cloud Save conflict
If the launcher presents a conflict, compare the timestamps or version labels for the local and cloud files. To keep the most recent progress, select the newer file. Epic warns: “If you select the older file, you could lose progress. Any progress lost is not recoverable.”
Conflicts can happen after playing offline on one device. Epic also warns that disabling and then re-enabling Cloud Saves while playing on more than one machine may cause conflicts. Avoid switching the setting during cross-device play, and check the versions carefully if a prompt appears.

Find a local save file instead
Cloud Saves sync through the launcher; Epic’s general support instructions do not describe a web portal or manual download tool for cloud files. If you need a separate local copy, Epic documents this possible launcher save folder on Windows:

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

That folder is not guaranteed to contain every game’s save. Epic also lists these possible locations:
%USERPROFILE%DocumentsMy Games%USERPROFILE%AppDataLocalLow%USERPROFILE%Documents%USERPROFILE%Saved Games%APPDATA%%LOCALAPPDATA%
Save locations vary by game. If you cannot find the file in these places, ask that game’s developer where it stores local saves.
