Rappa is a 5-star Imaginary character on the Erudition Path whose kit pairs multi-target attacks with Weakness Break mechanics. Her Ultimate starts Sealform, giving her an extra turn and three enhanced attacks; those attacks can reduce Toughness even when an enemy is not weak to Imaginary, but at half their usual Toughness-reduction effect. Version 2.6 launched on October 23, 2024, so Rappa’s kit is confirmed game information, not an ongoing leak.
What does Rappa do in Honkai: Star Rail?
HoYoverse describes Rappa as a damage dealer suited to attacking multiple targets. She follows the Imaginary element and Erudition Path, and her damage plan revolves around reducing enemy Toughness, breaking weaknesses, and exploiting the resulting Broken state. Her official profile appears in the Version 2.6 update details.
Her Ultimate creates a short empowered window rather than a permanent change to her basic attacks. During it, Rappa receives an extra turn and uses a three-hit enhanced Basic ATK with broad target coverage. Breaking enemies also feeds her Talent, which adds Break damage to the final hit.
How does Rappa’s Sealform work?
Prydwen’s Rappa character reference lists her Ultimate at 140 Energy. Using it enters Sealform, immediately grants one extra turn and three Chroma Ink, and increases Weakness Break Efficiency by 50% along with Break Effect. Each enhanced Basic ATK consumes one Chroma Ink; Sealform ends once all three are spent.

The attack has three hits. The first two strike a primary target and adjacent enemies; the third hits all enemies. This makes the final hit particularly relevant in multi-target fights, especially when Rappa has accumulated Charge.
Can Rappa break enemies that are not weak to Imaginary?
Yes, her enhanced attacks still reduce Toughness against enemies without Imaginary Weakness, but the Toughness reduction is 50% of the normal effect, according to Prydwen’s kit reference. This is not an Imaginary Weakness Implant: Rappa does not make enemies weak to Imaginary, and off-element Toughness reduction is less effective than attacking a matching weakness. If she does break an enemy, the Imaginary Weakness Break effect applies.
That distinction matters when choosing a team or planning around an encounter. Rappa can contribute to breaking off-element targets, but how quickly and reliably she does so depends on the enemy’s weaknesses and the team’s support.
How do Charge and Break damage fit together?
Rappa’s Talent grants Charge when enemy targets become Weakness Broken. Her enhanced attack’s third hit consumes Charge to deal additional Break DMG to all enemies. The extra damage and the hit’s weakness-agnostic Toughness reduction scale with the amount of Charge consumed.

Her traces add two more interactions. A4 converts the Toughness reduction from enhanced attacks against already-broken enemies into Super Break DMG. A6 increases the Break DMG taken by enemies newly broken by Rappa; its stated effect includes a 2% increase, plus an additional increase based on ATK above 2,400, capped at 8% for that additional portion. These are game-mechanic values listed in Prydwen’s reference, not general damage guarantees: actual results depend on the encounter and build.

The defining combination is her three-hit, multi-target empowered attack and the way enemy breaks feed Charge for its final hit. Her ability to reduce Toughness without matching Imaginary Weakness gives her some flexibility, while the reduced effect and lack of a Weakness Implant put limits on that flexibility.
Prydwen’s guide recommends considering Break-focused support such as Harmony Trailblazer or Fugue, and a Weakness Break Efficiency buffer such as Ruan Mei. Those are roster- and encounter-dependent suggestions, not official team requirements. When comparing Break characters or deciding whether to use Rappa, consider:
- How quickly and consistently the character reduces Toughness against the encounter’s weaknesses.
- Whether the character can implant a weakness or otherwise help address off-element enemies.
- How often the character can access an empowered state.
- How well the character’s attacks cover multiple targets.
When did Rappa and Version 2.6 release?
HoYoverse announced on October 11, 2024 that Version 2.6, “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age,” would release on October 23, 2024. The official announcement distributed through Games Press described Rappa entering Sealform after her Ultimate and using Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade in a special first-person view. Version 2.6’s update details also listed her signature Light Cone, Ninjutsu Inscription: Dazzling Evilbreaker, as obtainable through the Brilliant Fixation Light Cone Event Warp.
