Version 3.4 arrived earlier, on July 2, 2025; the update and the crossover had separate release dates.
When did the Honkai: Star Rail Fate collab come out?
HoYoverse announced the dates on June 20, 2025: Version 3.4, “For the Sun is Set to Die,” was released July 2, and the collaboration story and event followed on July 11. Those dates are historical; the event is not a current, upcoming release. HoYoverse’s Version 3.4 announcement set out both milestones.
What was the Fate collaboration?
The crossover paired Honkai: Star Rail with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]. Its Trailblaze Continuance story was titled “Sweet Dreams and the Holy Grail.” HoYoverse placed the Holy Grail War in Penacony, where seven invited participants summon historical figures as Servants. The announcement named Aventurine, Boothill, Robin, and the Trailblazer among the participants, and identified Saber, Archer, and Lancer as Heroic Spirits. The announcement provides the initial story setup.
Which Fate characters were playable?
HoYoverse introduced Saber and Archer as playable collaboration characters. Saber was announced as a five-star Wind character on the Path of Destruction. The Version 3.4 announcement covers the character reveal.

What did the event include?
The Version 3.4 update details described an event-period reward that let players claim Archer, plus a Light Cone reward tied to spending a total of 200 Star Rail Special Passes in Version 3.4 Warp events. Both were limited historical mechanics: neither should be treated as an offer that can still be claimed. The original terms were included in HoYoverse’s Version 3.4 update details.
Was there a Fate collaboration voice option?
A later official video previewed a Version 3.5 option for changing collaboration characters’ interaction, idle, and battle voice lines to the original Japanese Fate[UBW] audio. The stated menu path was each character’s Profile > Voice. The official video previewed that option.

Was there a related merchandise event?
Animate ran a Japan-only Honkai: Star Rail × Fate/UBW fair from July 19 to September 7, 2025. Its promotion included serial-code postcards with qualifying HSR goods or book purchases or reservations, along with separate in-store UID and hologram-card promotions. The associated game-item codes expired September 23, 2025 JST, so these were time-limited 2025 promotions, not current offers. Animate’s fair notice lists the campaign terms. Animate also listed selected goods, including a finger-puppet keychain, badges, character cards, and an acrylic stand; its notice warned that imported items could be delayed or cancelled. That historical listing does not establish current availability. Animate’s goods notice described the items.
