No numeric depth for the current in-game Lone Star Lake is stated in the official sources reviewed. Complete the Lone Star Adventure Missions to unlock the Lone Star Map tablet firmware, then check the more detailed map for depth information; Fishing Planet does not specify whether it shows a numeric readout. Do not use the 40-foot figure for the real Texas lake as an in-game measurement.
How to check Lone Star Lake’s depth in Fishing Planet
- Complete the Lone Star Adventure Missions.
- Claim the Lone Star Map tablet firmware unlocked as the mission reward.
- Open the updated map and inspect it for depth information. The developer describes it as a much more detailed water map, but does not confirm that it includes a numeric depth chart or readout. Fishing Planet’s developer diary, published June 2, 2026, describes the unlock.
Why older maps and spot advice may be outdated
Fishing Planet says Lone Star Lake was completely redesigned, its area expanded, and four locations added. The update also removed the old marker buoys and returned them to players’ inventory. Treat older community maps and fishing-spot advice as potentially outdated, and check when they were made. The Fishing Planet Database lists the reworked areas as Beaver Dam, Lakeside Grill Area, Kayak Rentals, and Home Sweet Home, but its page gives no numeric depth. The official update announcement is the source for the redesign details; the Fishing Planet Database lake page is a community-maintained reference.
The 40-foot figure is for a different lake
Texas Parks and Wildlife lists a maximum depth of 40 feet for the real Lone Star Lake in Morris County, Texas. That measurement describes the real-world lake, not the Fishing Planet location. Texas Parks and Wildlife’s Lone Star Lake page does not answer the in-game depth question.
