Where to find the Chapel of the Reaper
The chapel is in a tower on the left side of Greymoor. You can reach Greymoor through the Far Fields or by completing The Lost Fleas quest; which route is available depends on your progression. For the region-access routes, see PC Gamer’s Reaper Crest guide.
Once in Greymoor, use Halfway Home as your landmark. Leave the inn to the left and climb toward the elevated tower route. Follow the candle-lit path to the chapel entrance, as shown in Nintendo Life’s walkthrough.
How to reach and claim the Crest
- Enter the chapel and work upward. The route is a platforming challenge. A walkthrough describes bouncing across two spinning spiked wheels with downward strikes, then hitting a pin to open the way up. Other walkthrough accounts mention an arena fight against scissor-carrying enemies, so expect combat as well as traversal; the precise sequence can vary by route. - Reach the dormant platform at the top. Stand on the large platform and use Bind three times. The Silksong Wiki walkthrough reports that the third Bind awards the Crest. This specific three-Bind instruction is guide-confirmed, not an official developer-published instruction.
The chapel platforming and reported enemy arena make combat tools you already rely on sensible preparation, but the available walkthroughs do not establish that any particular tool is required.

What the Reaper Crest does
The Reaper Crest changes Hornet’s default attacks to heavier, broader, arcing slashes. After using Bind, hitting enemies generates additional Silk for a limited period, which can help fuel Silk skills or healing. The cited guides do not establish a dependable amount of Silk gained per hit or an exact duration.
This is a playstyle choice rather than a universal upgrade in combat performance. Reaper’s slower attacks trade speed for broad arcs and the opportunity to build Silk through hits after Bind. When comparing Crests, consider attack speed, attack shape and reach, downward attack behavior, and what Bind does for each one.
