Uninstall Geode with its installer
- Open the Geode installer you used to install Geode.
- Choose the installer’s uninstall option and follow its prompts.
- Launch Geometry Dash to check that it opens without Geode.
Geode’s installation documentation describes uninstalling through the installer. It does not specify the exact button labels or screens, so these may depend on the installer version.
Find the Geometry Dash folder if needed
If you installed Geometry Dash through Steam on Windows or macOS, use Steam’s option to browse the game’s local files to locate its folder. Geode’s documentation describes Geode files being placed in the Geometry Dash folder alongside the game executable when installed manually.
If the installer is unavailable
The accessible documentation does not give a complete manual removal procedure. Avoid deleting individual files based only on their names: the Geode FAQ search excerpt lists Geode.dll, GeodeUninstaller.exe, the geode folder, and xinput1_4.dll as indicators of a Windows installation, not as a verified delete list. The FAQ page could not be opened when checked, so treat those names only as clues when locating a Windows installation.

If you cannot run the installer, the safe next step is to identify your platform and whether Geode was installed manually or through the installer, then follow instructions specific to that setup. The documented desktop paths cover Windows and macOS; do not assume they apply to mobile.
Removing Geode is different from removing a mod
To remove one Geode mod while keeping the loader, use the Geode menu’s mod-removal controls. The installer’s uninstall option is for removing Geode itself, not just an individual mod.

Platform support and version notes
Geode’s installation search result lists Windows, macOS, Android, experimental iOS, and Linux through Wine, but the accessible installation instructions specifically describe Windows and macOS. Platform availability and installer behavior can change; consult the Geode installation page for platform-specific guidance. A separate GeodeMirror releases page lists v5.8.4, released August 28, 2026, with compatibility information for Geometry Dash 2.207 and partial 2.208 support. This release listing is not a substitute for confirming current platform instructions before uninstalling.
