How to earn the Bottomless Water Bucket
- Find the Angler and accept his available fishing quest.
- Catch the requested quest fish and turn it in to the Angler.
- Repeat quests until you complete quest 25. The Official Calamity Mod Wiki lists the Bottomless Water Bucket as that quest’s guaranteed reward: Calamity Mod Wiki: Vanilla changes.
To fish, you need a fishing pole, bait, and a sizeable amount of liquid, according to the Official Terraria Wiki’s Angler guide. The cited sources do not establish a faster Calamity-specific route or a crafting recipe for the bucket.

How Calamity changes the reward timing
Calamity changes the vanilla Angler reward sequence. In the Calamity sequence, quest 24 awards Superheated Blood, quest 25 awards the Bottomless Water Bucket, and quest 26 awards the Enchanted Sundial. The Calamity wiki says the bucket can enter the random reward pool only after its guaranteed reward has been obtained.

What the bucket does
The Bottomless Water Bucket supplies an endless amount of water and can be used repeatedly to place it, as described by the Official Terraria Wiki. It lets you place water without repeatedly refilling an ordinary bucket.
