Eternal is the persistent realm for characters and their ongoing builds and loot. Blizzard lists gear, stash, Paragon, and gold among the things preserved there. The overview does not specify the end-of-season treatment of every individual item, currency, or temporary seasonal mechanic, so don’t assume a particular exception or carryover rule without current official guidance.

Can you use an existing character in a new season?
Blizzard’s current Season of Hell’s Legacy page introduces Rebirth, which lets existing heroes begin a fresh journey in the Seasonal Realm. Rebirth is not the season-end carryover to Eternal: it is a way for an existing hero to start fresh seasonal play.
The page does not specify Rebirth’s exact in-game steps or enumerate everything it resets or retains. Check the current in-game instructions for the available option and its details rather than assuming how individual character state is handled.
