Mercy is 39 in the latest reported listing of her age on the Overwatch website. The same listing gave her birthday as May 13. That age was reported by an Overwatch Forums user in September 2023; the current indexed official hero-profile excerpt available here does not show a numerical age.
What is Mercy’s age in canon?
The latest numerical age located for Mercy—Dr. Angela Ziegler—is 39. A September 7, 2023, post on the Overwatch Forums reported that the Overwatch website listed her age as 39 and her birthday as May 13. This is a report of an official-site listing, not an age field independently verified in the current profile.
Does Overwatch’s story confirm her age?
Blizzard’s Mercy hero profile identifies her as a doctor and medical researcher, but the indexed profile excerpt available here does not give a numerical age. Blizzard’s history article and the short story “Valkyrie” trace her medical work, her connection to Overwatch, and her return to providing aid in Egypt after the organization’s fall. Those narrative details do not independently establish a newer numerical age.
In “Valkyrie,” Mercy says, “I didn’t become a doctor to be thanked.” It is Angela’s line in the story, not a statement about her age.

Why might another source give a different age?
Older references may list a different age, but the sources reviewed do not explain the discrepancy. There is not enough evidence here to call it a confirmed retcon or to calculate a replacement age from her birthday and story timeline.
Answer: 39 is the latest reported official-site listing located, paired with a May 13 birthday. The current indexed profile excerpt does not display an age, and the narrative sources cited above do not supply a newer numerical figure.
