Uploading a classic 2D Roblox T-shirt, shirt, or pants item costs 80 Robux per submission under Roblox’s Creator Hub fee schedule accessed on October 8, 2026. If you also publish it for sale, Roblox adds a separate 10 Robux publishing advance, so the upfront total is 90 Robux per classic item. The advance can be rebated from sales; the upload fee generally is not returned if moderation rejects the item.
Classic clothing: the 80- or 90-Robux answer
Roblox’s Marketplace fees and commissions table lists an 80 Robux upload fee per submission and a separate 10 Robux publishing advance for classic T-shirts, classic shirts, and classic pants.

The 80 Robux is charged for each submission, not once for an account or an entire clothing collection. Roblox says upload fees generally are not refunded when moderation rejects an item. The publishing advance is a distinct charge: rebates are processed from sales and credited to the creator’s account. The full 90 Robux is therefore the upfront amount when listing a classic item, not necessarily the final cost after sales rebates.
Classic 2D versus 3D avatar clothing
“Clothing” covers different Roblox asset types, and the classic price should not be applied to every wearable. Roblox describes classic clothing as 2D assets that wrap around parts of an avatar; its avatar asset types guide distinguishes those from 3D avatar clothing.

Those are separate rows and categories in Roblox’s fee table. For 3D clothing, the table lists publishing advances by asset type; other categories can have different amounts. The 600 Robux figure applies to the non-limited advance for the listed categories, not to classic clothing or every 3D asset. An item that uses an emissive mask has a 500 Robux upload fee rather than the standard 80 Robux, and its non-limited publishing advance is five times the standard advance for that asset type.
Account requirements to upload and sell
Roblox’s Marketplace policy separates upload eligibility from permission to publish. The policy requires government ID verification or a linked parental account with government ID verification to upload. Publishing additionally requires 2-step verification and Roblox Plus or Premium 1000/2200 for the individual creator or group owner. That qualifying membership must remain active for an item to stay on sale. Roblox does not state the subscription’s cash price in the cited policy, so it is not included in the Robux totals above.

Approval, permissions, and upload problems
Paying the fee does not guarantee approval or a sale listing. Roblox reviews submitted assets for Marketplace approval, and creators must follow the Marketplace policy and Community Standards and have permission to upload and sell the content. Its Creating and Selling Avatar Items support page explains the creator workflow. For clothing upload errors, Roblox’s upload troubleshooting page says images must be GIF, PNG, or JPG and that the correct clothing template and image dimensions matter; that support page confirms fees apply but does not give their current amounts.
