Why LINK is the tricky word
CHAIN, SERIES, STRING, and TRAIN all suggest a sequence, so LINK can seem like a natural fit with them. In this grid, however, LINK belongs with BRAT, DOG, and FRANK in the sausage group. Some players in the dated discussion said they considered LINK for the sequence category or did not recognize it as a sausage term; those are individual reactions, not a measure of the puzzle’s overall difficulty.
