How the C-___ group works
The final set forms familiar expressions when C is placed before each word: C-clef, C-section, C-span, and C-suite. For the other groups, the intended connections are income earned or taken home; elements of a wizard costume; and features of a ship.
A useful way to check a suspected group
Some words fit more than one association at first glance. Before committing, check whether removing your four candidates leaves three distinct, coherent groups among the remaining words. A clean remainder can help distinguish a strong pattern from a tempting overlap.
