To get Weaver’s Needle in Black Myth: Wukong, unlock Chapter 4’s secret area, Purple Cloud Mountain, by defeating Venom Daoist in two encounters. Then reach Cloudnest Peak and defeat Duskveil; Weaver’s Needle is awarded after the fight. If you also want the optional Daoist Mi and Scorpionlord encounters and their rewards, complete them before facing Duskveil.
How to unlock Purple Cloud Mountain
You must defeat Venom Daoist twice in Chapter 4. The first encounter is in Webbed Hollow; the second is in the Temple of the Yellow Flower. The route below follows the shrine names and landmarks given in the walkthroughs from PowerPyx and Game8.
- Find Venom Daoist at Pool of Shattered Jade. In Webbed Hollow, travel to the Pool of Shattered Jade shrine and follow the path beside it to a large cocoon. Attack the cocoon to trigger the encounter, then defeat Venom Daoist. He escapes, so this does not finish the quest.
- Find him again near Court of Illumination. In the Temple of the Yellow Flower, start at Court of Illumination and take the path opposite the shrine. At the fork, go left to trigger the second encounter. Defeat Venom Daoist again.
- Enter the secret area. After the second fight, interact with the wall ahead to open the way into Purple Cloud Mountain.
Complete optional fights before Duskveil
Purple Cloud Mountain contains the optional encounters with Daoist Mi and Scorpionlord. Game8 warns that starting or defeating Duskveil can make these encounters unavailable, along with their rewards. If you want to fight either character, do so before continuing to the area’s final boss.
Reach Duskveil and claim Weaver’s Needle
- Follow the route through Purple Cloud Mountain toward Cloudnest Peak.
- Climb toward the boss arena and defeat Duskveil.
- After the fight, claim Weaver’s Needle. Chapter 4 walkthroughs identify it as a Vessel reward for defeating Duskveil; see Gamer Guides and HarryNinetyFour’s walkthrough.
