Inside, solve four pedestal symbol sequences to claim the upgrade.
1. Get a Stamp from a helmeted zombie
Progress through the match until helmeted zombies begin appearing; GameSpot’s walkthrough says they can start showing up around round 10. Kill one and pick up the Stamp it drops. GameSpot’s Citadelle des Morts guide gives the specific Solais route.

2. Claim the Bastard Sword from the lion statue
Go to the Dining Hall and use the Stamp on the statue with a lion emblem on its chest. It gives you the base Bastard Sword, which you need to upgrade into Solais. You can hold only one sword at a time, and you need another Stamp to claim a sword from another statue.
The Bastard Sword occupies the Dedicated Melee Weapon slot, according to the official Call of Duty map guide; it does not replace a primary or secondary weapon.

3. Charge the sword with a glowing Parasite
After you pick up the sword, glowing Parasites begin spawning. Keep one alive, then melee it with the Bastard Sword. The sword glows when it has been charged.
4. Open the lion-marked door
Head toward Speed Cola and go down the ramp to find the door marked with a lion emblem. Strike it with the glowing sword. The charge does not open the door in one hit: return to a glowing Parasite, melee it to recharge the sword, then strike the door again. GameSpot’s walkthrough calls for the initial strike and three repeats.
