Which O.R.C. transmitters do you need to reach first?
Signals and Stashes starts with two transmitter objectives: one on the Picnic Table and one on the Garbage Can. The Picnic Table route involves climbing the blanket and getting through the cold Picnic Fridge Cooler. The Garbage Can route is a longer platforming climb through a poisonous area, so prepare Gas Guard before attempting it. PC Gamer’s route guide, published July 29, 2025, recommends tackling the Picnic Table first.
How to reach the Picnic Table transmitter
- Go to the Picnic Table. It is north of the starting Snackbar.
- Climb the blanket from the eastern side. Follow the blanket ramps and loop around to reach the bench.
- Cross to the far side of the bench. Use the cobweb bridges or the croquet mallet route; hostile bugs may be along either path.
- Pass through the Picnic Fridge Cooler. Move through promptly because the cold can be dangerous. Cold-resistant armor is an option if you want added protection.
- Reach the tabletop blanket. After exiting the Cooler, climb the blanket in the center of the table and activate the transmitter.
The transmitter is guarded by O.R.C. Weevils and an O.R.C. Ladybug, according to the Signals and Stashes quest entry, so be ready to deal with them before interacting with it.
How to reach the Garbage Can transmitter
Get Gas Guard before entering
The Garbage Can transmitter is on top of the bin in the Entrance area, surrounded by poisonous gas. Bring Gas Guard protection before climbing. The route guide describes two in-game options:

- Gas mask: craft one using one weevil nose, four gnat fuzz, two crude rope, and one stinkbug part.
- Gastro Goo smoothie: combine a stinkbug gas sack, roach chunk, and aphid honeydew with grub sludge as the base at a smoothie station.
Climb to the top of the bin
- Reach the wooden ledge west of the Garbage Can, overlooking the bin, and cross the branch toward a gap in it.
- Jump onto the banana to the right, turn around, and jump onto the crumpled paper.
- Keep climbing around the bin using branches, rope, and rubbish as platforms.
- At the top, deal with the O.R.C. guard and interact with the transmitter.
The quest entry also places this transmitter atop the trash can and confirms that a Gas Mask or equivalent protection is needed.
What to do after hacking both transmitters
Each transmitter hack advances the quest to a nearby O.R.C. group: the Picnic Table objective sends you toward soldiers by the Pines in Pine Hills, while the Garbage Can objective points to soldiers near the Ice Cream Truck. Complete the transmitter and soldier objectives, then speak to Sloane at a Ranger Outpost to finish Signals and Stashes. This leads to Wait, There’s More!, which marks remaining transmitter locations.

Later objectives include transmitters at the Hedge and Ceremony areas. The available route details establish those locations, but do not lay out their climbs in enough detail to give reliable step-by-step directions here. Follow the markers for those objectives in-game.
