Co-op Mode in Wuthering Waves unlocks at Union Level 22. After that, add a player by UID through the Friends menu, have them accept your request, then use the friend list or Co-op Mode menu to request entry to their world. If you want them to join yours, check your world-access setting first.
How do I unlock co-op in Wuthering Waves?
Reach Union Level 22. Multiple player guides report this as the Co-op Mode threshold; the Simulation Training interface is also reported to display the requirement. Kuro Games’ Version 1.1 patch notes confirm that Co-op Mode uses SOL-3-level messaging, but do not state the Union Level 22 unlock requirement.
How do I add friends in Wuthering Waves?
- Open the in-game Friends menu.
- Select Add Friend.
- Search for the player using their UID, then send the request.
- Wait for the other player to accept. They should then appear in your friend list.
The cited guides describe UID search, rather than searching by display name, as the way to find another player.
How do I invite a friend to co-op?
Once the player is on your friend list, use their friend-list entry or open the Co-op Mode menu and request to join their world. To have them join you, set your world access so they can enter under the applicable permission rules.

Check the host’s access setting
- Join Upon Approval: the host must accept the request.
- Public: players can enter without host approval.
- Friends Only: access is limited to players on the host’s friend list.
- Closed: blocks co-op entry.
Co-op parties are reported to allow up to three players in one world.
What to check if a co-op request fails
- Union Level: confirm that the account attempting to use co-op has reached Union Level 22.
- Friend request: make sure the recipient accepted it and appears in the friend list.
- World access: check whether the host has set the world to Closed, requires approval, or limits entry to friends.
- Availability: confirm that the other player is online and able to respond to a request.
- SOL-3 phase: if the players have different SOL-3 phases, Game8’s guide says the higher-phase player should join the lower-phase player’s world. Kuro Games’ Version 1.1 notes confirm SOL-3 level can be relevant to co-op messaging, but do not spell out that hosting rule.
Menu labels and restrictions may change with updates, so follow the current in-game interface if its wording differs from these guides.
