Ready or Not supports online co-op for up to five players, with crossplay across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Enable cross-play in the game settings, host a Friends-Only lobby, and invite your group. For PC-to-console sessions, the PC host must not be using mods.
What you need to play together
- Ready or Not supports cooperative play for up to five players, according to the Epic Games Store listing.
- VOID Interactive describes cross-play across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation in its official cross-play guide. Platform-specific console generations are not detailed in the cited listings.
How to invite friends to a Ready or Not lobby
- At the main menu, open Settings > Gameplay Options and turn on Cross-Play if anyone in the group is playing on another platform. VOID says this global preference can be changed in that menu.
- Create a Friends-Only lobby. Choose whether cross-play is enabled for that session; the lobby setting is separate from your global cross-play preference.
- Use the game’s lobby or invite interface to invite your friends. The exact button sequence can vary, so follow the current in-game prompts rather than assuming one platform’s controls apply to all players.
- If an invited player has cross-play disabled, they will be prompted to turn it on before joining a cross-play lobby.
For a same-platform group, use the regular game or platform invite flow. For a cross-platform group, make sure cross-play is enabled both in the global preference and for the lobby.

PC and console crossplay: the mod restriction
A PC host using mods cannot host a lobby that console players can join, even when cross-play is enabled, according to VOID’s cross-play guide. To play with console friends, remove mods from the PC host setup before creating the lobby.
If your friends cannot join
- The game says cross-play is disabled: Turn it on at Main Menu > Settings > Gameplay Options, or accept the prompt shown when joining.
- Console players cannot join a PC host: Check whether the PC host is using mods; remove them for a PC-to-console session.
- The menu or invite flow looks different: Follow the current in-game instructions and consult Ready or Not support on Steam, which identifies VOID Interactive as the game’s official support provider.
The cited official guidance does not establish whether all players must be on the same game build, whether account linking is required for every platform combination, or how console parental controls affect cross-play. Check the current platform and in-game prompts if one of those issues prevents a friend from joining.
