These conditions are summarized from unofficial walkthroughs: IGN’s ending guide and PowerPyx’s ending guide. The table distinguishes the UFO ending, which can be unlocked during New Game+ but does not count as one of the two full endings needed for the New Game++ route.
How to get each ending
1. Coming Home to Roost
Complete the story on your first playthrough. This is the only ending available on that initial completion. In later runs, Coming Home to Roost can recur if you use Red Capsules or miss the requirements for another ending.
2. Fox’s Wedding
- Start New Game+ from a clear save and avoid taking Red Capsules throughout the run. To reduce the chance of using one accidentally, discard any capsules you already have and unequip them.
- Obtain Agura no Hotei-sama in the Hermitage of Crimson Water.
- For the Sacred Sword condition, either skip obtaining the sword entirely or obtain it and purify it. Do not leave the sword obtained but unpurified if you want this ending.
- Finish the game.
The sword route involves finding five offerings and delivering them to Jizo statues across the early Ebisugaoka visits, then obtaining the sword at the divine tree. Purifying it requires completing the Crimson Water puzzle in the Dark Shrine area and cleansing the sword later in Ebisugaoka.

- Start New Game+ and avoid Red Capsules.
- Complete the five-offering Jizo sequence and obtain the Sacred Sword.
- Do not purify the sword.
- Continue through the final boss sequence and complete the game with the sword unpurified.
4. Ebisugaoka in Silence
- On the same clear-save progression, complete at least two full endings that qualify. Coming Home to Roost, Fox’s Wedding, and The Fox Wets Its Tail count; the UFO ending does not.
- Start New Game++ and avoid Red Capsules.
- Obtain and purify the Sacred Sword.
- During the fifth Ebisugaoka visit, offer the Brooch to the Ancient Jizo Statue.
- Finish the game.
If you completed the Crimson Water puzzle on the previous run, the guide says you do not need to repeat it.
5. The Great Space Invasion (UFO)
- On New Game+, listen to the UFO radio broadcast during the first Ebisugaoka visit.
- During the third Ebisugaoka visit, inspect the three posters titled “The Great Space Invasion” in the specified order.
- After completing the poster sequence, read the movie review near the general store. Picking it up triggers the ending and ends that run segment.
The route also grants access to the PP-8001 weapon, according to the walkthroughs. Because reading the review triggers the ending, make a manual save before picking it up if you want to preserve your place in the run.

Efficient route for all five endings
A practical plan uses three full playthroughs. Manual saves during New Game+ let you explore the UFO and both sword branches without treating the UFO ending as one of the full completions needed for New Game++.

Save management affects whether your endings appear together on one save banner. The walkthrough says that recording all five on a single banner requires completing the game for each ending.
