Check the golden route on your ship’s map, collect the consignment at its marked pickup point and deliver it to the fixed destination. The route can change between Seasons, so use the map in your current session rather than relying on an older route description.
Start the Voyage from your ship
- Choose High Seas. Smugglers’ Route Run Voyages are available there, not in Safer Seas, according to the official Smugglers’ League guide.
- At your ship, interact with the Quest Table and select the Smugglers’ Route Run Voyage. It is an on-demand Voyage; you do not need to find a separate quest giver. The version 3.5.0 release notes describe it as selectable from the Quest Table.
- Before setting sail, look at the ship’s map for the golden route and note the pickup and delivery points.
Follow the route and deliver the consignment
Sail to the marked pickup point, collect the cargo, then take it to the Voyage’s destination. Those endpoints are fixed for the run: you can divert from the golden route, but you cannot change where the consignment is collected or delivered. Follow the marked path where practical, and keep checking the map as you travel. Other crews can inspect the route at their own Map Tables, so the run is not hidden from potential rivals.

Handle the cargo carefully
Some consignments are vulnerable to damage. The official guide warns that rum bottles are delicate and Black Powder Barrels can be dangerous if damaged. Avoid rough handling and keep an eye out for rival crews while transporting the cargo along a route other players can see.
Check the current route on your map
Route locations are seasonal, so older directions may no longer match your session. The official Season 17 page says the golden route changes each Season. Version 3.6.0 release notes report that the route shifted into The Devil’s Roar and was marked on the ship’s map. Treat that as the location documented for that update, not a guarantee of the route in every later version; the map in your current game is the best guide.

Rare’s Season 17 launch article, dated 14 August 2025, describes these as perilous delivery Voyages along a highly contested route. That captures the practical trade-off: the Quest Table makes the Voyage easy to launch, but the visible route and fragile or hazardous cargo make the delivery a crew activity that rewards attention.
