To work toward every Borderlands 4 achievement or trophy, finish the campaign, then clear the game’s side missions, contracts, activities, regional map discoveries, challenges, and collection goals. The exact catalog depends on platform and content: Epic Games Store listed 63 achievements on October 8, 2026, but that figure is not a confirmed universal count for every platform or a base-game-only total. Some entries are hidden, and DLC adds further objectives.
This checklist groups the known unlock goals by task. Story and secret-objective details can spoil discoveries, so skip those sections if you want to find them unaided.

Check your platform’s list before planning a full clear
Borderlands 4 supports PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store, according to the official game FAQ. The Epic listing showed 63 achievement entries when checked on October 8, 2026; XboxAchievements.com also listed 63 Xbox entries on that date, though its point total differs. These listings do not establish that every platform has an identical catalog, or that 63 is a base-game-only count. Treat your own platform’s achievement or trophy screen as the authority for your run.
Epic’s listing marks numerous entries only as “Hidden Achievement,” without showing their names or conditions. Check hidden entries in your platform’s achievement panel or in-game trophy list; a public checklist cannot reliably disclose a condition the platform itself withholds.

Complete the five main-story milestones
A dated community guide identifies these five story quests as tied to achievements and describes them as unmissable campaign completions:
- Complete “Rush the Gate.”
- Complete “His Vile Sanctum.”
- Complete “Her Flaming Vision.”
- Complete “Another Day, Another Universe.”
- Complete “The Timekeeper’s Order.”
Because the guide calls these story unlocks unmissable, they are not the objectives to prioritize when planning a cleanup pass. Keep progressing through the main story and use your platform’s list to confirm each unlock.
Clear side missions, contracts, and faction chains
- Complete 80 contracts.
- Complete all side missions.
- Complete all Claptrap missions.
- Finish the listed Outbounder, Auger, and Electi mission chains.
These goals overlap in the sense that they all reward broad mission completion, but the available guide does not establish that progress in one category automatically satisfies another. Track contracts, faction chains, and the overall side-mission total separately in your game and platform menus.

Finish activities, world events, bosses, and Vault encounters
- Complete all activities.
- Clear the Goredello, Airship, and Creep Impact world events.
- Defeat a world boss.
- Defeat all Guardians in Primordial Vaults.
World events and weekly activities can affect how quickly these objectives fit into a route. Gearbox’s version 1.6 notes, published April 29, 2026, say world bosses and world events appear more often and that world events have shorter waits between appearances. Weekly activities and their rotation are time-sensitive, so consult the live game rather than relying on an old schedule.

Reach the level and endgame thresholds
- Reach player level 10.
- Reach player level 30.
- Reach player level 50.
- Reach Ultimate Vault Hunter level 5.
Epic’s visible achievement descriptions confirm these thresholds. The level-50 goal and the Ultimate Vault Hunter threshold are separate targets; check both entries rather than assuming one unlock covers the other.
Complete gear challenges and collect equipment
- Equip legendary gear in every slot.
- Finish one Gear Challenge category.
- Finish one Manufacturer Challenge category.
The listed goals are for filling every gear slot and completing a category in each of the two challenge types. The available sources do not specify which slots or categories are easiest, so use your in-game equipment and challenge screens to identify what remains.

Collect cosmetics and personal vehicles
- Collect 60 cosmetics.
- Collect personal vehicles.
The guide identifies the 60-cosmetic threshold but does not establish a comparable numeric target for personal vehicles. Use the relevant in-game collection or achievement tracker for the remaining vehicle requirement rather than guessing at a count.
Discover every location in each region
Each of these objectives requires discovering every map location in the named region:
- The Fadefields.
- Terminus Range.
- Carcadia Burn.
- Dominion City.
These are region-specific completion goals, not one combined discovery threshold. Check the map for each region individually to find locations that remain undiscovered.

Find the special secrets and complete unusual tasks
The dated community guide lists the following miscellaneous objectives. Their conditions can depend on a particular interaction, sequence, or mission choice:
- Tip Moxxi.
- Locate a Tannis cutout.
- Complete the Legendary Vending Machine task.
- Find Oddman’s resting place.
- Find Dave the Burrito.
- Complete the special interaction associated with “Rift Incompatible.”
The guide warns that some of these require a specific interaction or sequence and says to avoid skipping the relevant mission choice. In particular, it flags the “Rift Incompatible” interaction as potentially missable, but the available information does not give enough detail to safely prescribe its exact steps. Check that achievement’s hidden description or a current, platform-specific walkthrough before making a choice that could prevent completion.
Account for multiplayer tracking behavior
Gearbox’s version 1.6 notes from April 29, 2026, state that “Missions in multiplayer and the Demon’s Domain achievement count as finished for everyone in the group when completed.” The same notes say that the “Pop Out” achievement waits until the boss is defeated before celebrating the victory, and that discovered Eridian recordings are shared across characters. These are behaviors documented for version 1.6; newer patches may change them, so verify them against the live game if they affect your completion plan.

Separate base-game goals from post-launch content
The community guide lists additional achievements associated with The Demon’s Domain, The Whispering Glacier, a Rift Boss, and the “A Zane to Kill For” mission, among other post-launch content. Treat that as an indication that DLC-related objectives exist, not a complete or guaranteed current inventory: the guide’s author says they no longer play and do not own the DLCs. Check your platform’s live list and the content you own before counting these toward your target.
The official FAQ says the Standard Edition is available physically for consoles or digitally for all supported platforms. That describes the edition’s format, not a current platform-specific achievement catalog or proof that a particular DLC objective is included.
