Full answer key
| Color | Category | Words |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | YEARN | DESIRE, LONG, PINE, YEN |
| Green | MAGAZINES | FORTUNE, MAD, NATURE, O |
| Blue | CHARACTERS IN BOND MOVIES | BOND, M, MONEYPENNY, Q |
| Purple | WORDS THAT PRECEDE “POP” IN MUSIC GENRES | BUBBLEGUM, EURO, K, POWER |
Why the groups fit
Yellow: YEARN
DESIRE, LONG, PINE, and YEN all express wanting or longing. YEN can look like a currency clue, but here it means a strong desire.
Green: MAGAZINES
FORTUNE, MAD, NATURE, and O are magazine titles. O is the short title that can seem like an arbitrary letter among the tiles.
Blue: CHARACTERS IN BOND MOVIES
BOND, M, MONEYPENNY, and Q identify characters or designations in the Bond films. The single-letter M and Q belong here, not with O.
#1 Best Overall
- Unravel a Cold War conspiracy in Vienna Connection, a standalone spy thriller inspired by Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game.
- Step into the shoes of CIA agents as you investigate the mysterious murder of an American citizen in 1977 Vienna, uncovering secrets across Europe.

- Outsmart enemy spy agencies in a tense, narrative-driven game where every choice shapes the outcome of your mission.
- Immerse yourself in a deep and strategic espionage experience, where deception, deduction, and covert operations are the keys to success.
Purple: WORDS THAT PRECEDE “POP” IN MUSIC GENRES
BUBBLEGUM, EURO, K, and POWER complete the genre names bubblegum pop, Euro-pop, K-pop, and power pop. The connection is the shared word “pop,” not four standalone genre names.
Tricky overlaps in the grid
- YEN and EURO may suggest a currency pair, but only YEN belongs with the words for longing; EURO completes Euro-pop.
- O, M, and Q are all single-letter tiles, but they split across the magazine and Bond categories.
- The purple set is easiest to recognize by adding “pop” after each tile rather than looking for a common property in the words alone.
The original puzzle date and category answers are reported by Parade and Fortnite Insider; the same groupings also appear in the Connection Hints archive. Tile order may vary in play.
