In Chapter 8, Abyssal Forest, follow the route near the Sentinel Shrine to a fire-trap room. Use your shield to hit the hidden red padlock, then hit the blue switch to open the cage and collect the Witch Toy.
Where to find the Witch Toy
Look for a path branching off near the Sentinel Shrine in Chapter 8, Abyssal Forest. Follow it along the edge of the map until you reach a room with fire traps and a caged collectible. This route and location are described in the PC Gamer walkthrough; Game8 also lists the toy among the chapter’s collectibles in its guide, last updated May 26, 2025 (Game8’s Chapter 8 guide).
How to open the cage
- Find the red padlock concealed in an alcove in the fire-trap room.
- Throw your shield at the red padlock.
- After activating the padlock, throw your shield at the blue switch.
- When the cage opens, collect the Witch Toy.
GameSpot and Game8 also describe a shield-operated mechanism for releasing the collectible, though their visual descriptions differ. Follow the red-padlock-then-blue-switch sequence above for the clearest route (GameSpot’s toy locations guide).
