Original Battle Pass unlocks
At the Season 01 launch, both weapons were earned by progressing through Battle Pass pages and claiming their High-Value Target (HVT) rewards. Call of Duty said base weapons were free to unlock; that did not require buying the paid Battle Pass content.

How the original route worked
- Open the Season 01 Battle Pass.
- Earn Battle Tokens through play.
- Progress to the weapon’s page: Page 6 for Krig C or Page 3 for Saug.
- Claim the weapon at that page’s HVT reward.
This describes the 2024 Season 01 route. The cited official sources do not establish that those pages remain available or provide the exact unlock steps in the 2026 client.

How to get them if you missed Season 01
Check the weapon’s current unlock entry and the Armory in Black Ops 6 or Warzone. Use the route the live game displays; the official launch material available here does not confirm that either weapon currently has an Armory challenge or identify another present-day unlock method.
At launch, Call of Duty described the Armory as a way to select an item and earn XP toward unlocking it. Its Warzone-specific examples focused on missed Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III content, so that general description should not be taken as confirmation that the Krig C or Saug is currently listed. Does the Mystery Box unlock them?
Black Ops 6 Season 01 patch notes said the Krig C and Saug were added to the Mystery Box. That is a historical Zombies-mode note, not evidence that using the box permanently unlocks either weapon for loadouts or that the same availability applies in every mode. Choose by role, not by an assumed current meta ranking. Call of Duty’s launch descriptions characterized the Krig C as a full-auto assault rifle with high damage, average handling, and recoil that becomes less steady during sustained fire. The Saug was described as a fast-firing, mobile SMG with good handling and high recoil, suited to close quarters; the announcement also pointed to hip-fire and Tactical Stance as ways to use its strengths. These are launch-era official descriptions, not an assessment of current balance. Details appear in the Season 01 announcement.
