Earn the Armorcharm by completing the optional quest Secure Wounded Hollow after reaching HR 15. The Powercharm comes from As Gatekeepers, available after reaching HR 20 and completing the relevant story quest. For either charm’s described boost to apply, move it from the item box into your carried item inventory.
How to get the Armorcharm
- Reach Hunter Rank 15 and complete the story quest that first takes you into the Wounded Hollow.
- In Suja, speak with Cobb near the blacksmith to receive the optional quest Secure Wounded Hollow.
- Defeat the two Hirabami in the arena. Use the arena fence to separate them so you can focus on one at a time.
- Claim the Armorcharm from the quest reward, then transfer it from the item box to your carried item inventory.
How to get the Powercharm
- Reach Hunter Rank 20 and complete the story quest involving Guardian Fulgur Anjanath and Tempered Lala Barina.
- In Suja, speak with Rex near the tent to receive the optional quest As Gatekeepers.
- Defeat the two Ajarkan in the Wounded Hollow arena. The arena fence can help keep them apart; bringing Nulberries is suggested for dealing with blast blight.
- Claim the Powercharm from the quest reward, then transfer it from the item box to your carried item inventory.
How to make sure the charms are active
These charms are inventory items, not armor pieces or talismans to equip. Open the item box and put the charm you want to use in your hunter’s carried item inventory. The guide describes the Armorcharm as boosting defense and the Powercharm as boosting attack, but does not give exact numerical values.
Why a quest may not be available
- Secure Wounded Hollow is missing: Check that you have reached HR 15 and completed the story quest that first takes you to the Wounded Hollow, then speak with Cobb in Suja.
- As Gatekeepers is missing: Check that you have reached HR 20 and completed the story quest involving Guardian Fulgur Anjanath and Tempered Lala Barina, then speak with Rex in Suja.
The documented route to each charm is its optional quest reward. The available guide does not establish whether either charm can also be crafted or upgraded in every game update, so those possibilities should not be treated as confirmed or ruled out.
