1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe Necrobinder is built around three resources that work together: Osty’s health, Doom’s end-of-turn kill threshold, and Souls that help you draw more cards. Keep Osty alive when his protection matters, spend or revive him when a card’s payoff is worth it, and check a target’s Doom against its current HP before committing more cards. Use card transformations to adapt your hand to the turn rather than chasing a fixed build.
Start with a turn-by-turn plan
Before playing cards, check three things: Osty’s HP, whether an enemy is already marked for Doom execution, and what your available cards can do after drawing Souls or changing a card in hand. These mechanics are strongest when treated as a connected set of decisions: Osty can buy safety or become a card effect’s cost, Doom can make further attacks unnecessary, and Souls can help you find the defense or follow-up you need.
- Check Osty. If he has HP, he can attack independently and take attack damage that would otherwise hit the Necrobinder. Decide whether that protection is worth preserving this turn.
- Check Doom. Compare each marked enemy’s Doom with its current HP. If Doom is already at least as high as HP, the enemy dies at end of turn, so another Doom application may not help.
- Look for card access. A Soul can draw into a needed action, but consider what you may draw and what you still need to play this turn.
- Use any transformation deliberately. Before applying a keyword, consider whether the changed card’s cost and timing fit the turn and your deck’s synergies.
- Spend the rest of the turn on what remains urgent. Depending on the situation, that may mean Block, an attack, a useful Osty effect, or finding a card that addresses another threat.
Choose how to use Osty
Osty is not simply a companion to keep alive at all costs. With HP, he can provide recurring protection and attack separately; some cards instead turn him into an immediate effect and leave him dead. Summon can increase his HP or bring him back, so the choice depends partly on how readily your deck can summon him again.
| Approach | What it gives you | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|
| Maintain Osty’s HP | Access to his independent attacks and the ability to absorb attack damage that would otherwise hit the Necrobinder, while he has HP. | Spending him on a sacrifice effect gives up that protection until he is summoned again. |
| Spend or sacrifice Osty | An immediate card payoff. In the official introduction, Bone Shards uses a living Osty for area damage and Block, then Osty dies. | The payoff costs Osty’s remaining presence; how attractive that is depends on the encounter and your access to Summon or revival. |
Bodyguard illustrates the other side of the tradeoff: it summons Osty and has him deal damage. Summon is therefore more than a way to restore a lost companion; it can support a plan that alternates between using Osty and bringing him back.

Use Doom to meet a threshold, not to deal damage over time
Doom kills a creature at the end of the turn when its Doom total meets or exceeds its current HP. It does not tick down or deal periodic damage. Although it is applied similarly to Poison, its timing and effect are different: Doom resolves at end of turn rather than dealing damage over time at the start of a creature’s turn.
Use the visible Doom and HP totals to decide whether another Doom card is necessary. If the target has already reached the threshold, extra Doom may be wasted; consider using the remaining turn on defense, card access, or another enemy instead. If the target is below the threshold, compare the benefit of adding Doom with what you would give up by not taking another action.

Doom and direct attacks can coexist in a deck and in a turn. Doom offers delayed execution if the threshold is reached and the turn resolves; attacks and defense address other needs immediately. Do not assume a Doom-marked enemy is already dead before the end-of-turn check.
Spend Souls to improve card access
Souls are a card-draw resource. The official introduction depicts Soul as a zero-cost card that draws two cards and exhausts, and Grave Warden as a source of Block that adds a Soul to the draw pile. That makes Souls a way to see more of your deck, not a guaranteed benefit regardless of timing.

Think about what you need before using a Soul. Drawing can help find Block, a Summon, or a card that completes a Doom plan, but the cards revealed still need to fit the turn’s available resources and situation. The useful question is not just “Can I draw?” but “What problem am I trying to find an answer for, and can I use the cards I might see?”
Transform cards in hand for the situation
Some Necrobinder cards change other cards in your hand by adding keywords, altering how those cards play later. In the official introduction, Sculpting Strike adds Ethereal to a card in hand, while Transfigure adds Replay at an additional Energy cost. These examples show why a transformation is a timing and deck-fit decision, not an automatic upgrade.

The official material establishes that transformations are part of the character’s toolkit, but it does not establish a universally best target or keyword ranking. Evaluate the card in the hand and deck you actually have.

Use the current in-game card text and build when making decisions about exact card values, upgrades, rankings, or a proposed deck list. The stable starting point is the interaction among Osty’s HP, Doom’s end-of-turn threshold, Souls’ card draw, and the timing of transformations—not a single prescribed archetype.
