Your best practical approach is to respond to the exact danger with a short, ordered plan that uses plausible actions and explains how each one helps you survive.
How Death by AI decides whether you survive
Death by AI is a prompt-based survival party game. You choose a character, receive a perilous scenario, and submit a plan for the AI Game Master to judge. Playroom’s official guide describes five rounds, with the group winner determined by survival points. It also says you can play solo or with a group.
The guide gives players 60 seconds to enter a strategy. That format rewards a response that is quick to understand, but it does not mean there is a known formula that the AI will always accept. The guide does not publish a win rate, validate a universal prompt, or report controlled comparisons of strategies.
A practical response framework for each scenario
The following is sensible advice inferred from the game’s scenario-and-response format, not a tested exploit or guaranteed method:

- Step back in time to witness the new American government's attempt to take control of their home from the British empire.
- Liberty or Death is designed for solitare play with optional rules for up to 4 players.
- Playable factions include the British Army, the American Patriots, American Indians, and the French Army.
- No other games or rule sets are required to play Liberty or Death.
- Name the immediate threat. Make clear what could harm you in the scenario instead of offering a plan that could fit any danger.
- Use plausible resources. Stick to items, abilities, and surroundings the prompt makes available. Don’t rely on a convenient tool or power that the scenario never gives you.
- Put your actions in order. Describe what you do first, next, and after that so the plan reads as an attempt to survive rather than a collection of disconnected ideas.
- Connect each action to a benefit. Briefly explain how an action reduces exposure to the threat, buys time, or helps you reach safety.
- Add imagination without breaking the logic. It is a party game, so a playful idea can fit; keep the underlying sequence coherent enough to follow.
With only a minute to respond, prioritize a clear plan over a long story. This framework may make your answer easier to follow, but there is no evidence that it improves your odds by a known amount.
Choose settings for the kind of game you want
Playroom’s guide describes two modes and optional scoring and narration settings. It does not compare their success rates or identify an optimal choice for a particular player count.

The guide says to change settings before the game starts. Pick a mode and narration style that suit your group, rather than treating them as a way to manipulate the judge.

Apple’s US App Store listing, accessed October 8, 2026, describes Death by AI as an online prompt-based survival multiplayer game for mobile and web, supports one to ten players, and lists 50+ free survival scenarios. The listing showed the app as free at that access date. Storefront details can change, so check the listing for current availability, price, compatibility, and feature counts.

Playroom’s guide says prompt packs and additional features are sold through its Discord shop, with prompt packs available only on Discord. However, the current Death by AI website search listing showed “New game coming soon!”; current shop and service availability are therefore uncertain. Check the destination directly before relying on a purchase option.
