Start with Blizzard’s current “Can’t Remove Glyph” support article for your game version. If a glyph is stuck because a talent replaced its spell, remove the talent and restore the original spell before trying again.
Use instructions for your version of WoW
Blizzard’s Support search index lists an article titled “Can’t Remove Glyph,” described as “How to remove a glyph.” Its full instructions are not available here, so treat that live Support article as the place to confirm the exact current steps for your game build rather than relying on an older Glyphs-panel walkthrough. The interface changed over time. Blizzard’s Legion patch notes state, “The Glyph panel has been removed from the game.” Some minor glyphs that added cosmetic effects without being tied to a specific spell became cosmetic items instead. Legion patch notes
Why old removal guides may not work
Blizzard’s earlier guide describes applying and changing glyphs through a Glyphs panel and names three consumables for those tasks. Those directions belong to the earlier system, not a guaranteed current procedure. A Return to World of Warcraft

Check whether a talent replaced the spell that had the glyph. A Blizzard Support note reproduced in a World of Warcraft Forums thread says: “If you applied the glyph to a spell that you later replaced with a talent, you must first remove the talent and restore the original spell.” After restoring the spell, try the removal instructions for your version again. The thread includes player reports involving Glyph of the Geist and Raise Undead. They are examples of a reported complication, not evidence that every character with that glyph—or glyphs generally—has a current removal bug.
