EA’s available guidance does not confirm whether the Open Beta used the same menu path, so treat these as instructions for the current game, not verified beta steps.
Turn off cross-play on Xbox or PlayStation
- Leave any party or server, and make sure matchmaking has not started.
- In Battlefield 6, select the cog to open Settings.
- Choose System, then look under Setup.
- Set Cross-play to off. EA says this limits play to people using the same platform. EA Help’s cross-play instructions say the option cannot be changed while you are in a party, on a server, or after matchmaking begins.
Who can change the setting?
EA says the in-game cross-play setting is available to view and change on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. Its support instructions do not describe an equivalent in-game control for PC.
What this means for the Open Beta
The current official instructions provide a menu path for Battlefield 6 generally, but do not establish that the Open Beta used the same labels, location, or restrictions. If you are looking for a beta-era setting, the available official guidance does not verify those details.
Does turning cross-play off guarantee console-only matches?
EA’s FAQ describes a separate PC-crossplay preference and warns that extended matchmaking waits may result in that preference being overridden. That caveat concerns the preference described in the FAQ; it does not establish that the console Cross-play-off toggle above is overridden. See EA’s Battlefield 6 FAQ for its explanation.
